How We Work
As a Solutions Engineer at Corpay, Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

- Company-issued equipment
- Formal, hands-on training
Role Overview
As a Solutions Engineer at Corpay Cross-Border, you will support the technical onboarding and implementation of clients integrating with Corpay's digital payment and FX solutions.
The role will primarily support clients and internal stakeholders across North America, with working hours aligned to the US Eastern Time (ET) timezone, while also providing technical support to client implementations and initiatives across other global regions as required.
You will work closely with Technical Sales Consultants and other Payment Solutions teams to support clients across integration modalities including REST APIs, File Upload, SFTP, ERP and other digital payment capabilities. The role requires strong technical aptitude, analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
In addition to client implementations, Solutions Engineering is regularly relied upon to support special projects, new product initiatives and ad-hoc business requirements. The successful candidate should therefore be comfortable working across a variety of technical challenges and adapting to evolving business priorities.
The position will be primarily remote; however, the successful candidate will initially attend the Chennai office for induction and training and will be expected to attend occasionally thereafter for team meetings, training and other business requirements.
Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
Client Implementation & Solutioning
- Support end-to-end technical implementation activities from onboarding through testing, certification and Production go-live.
- Support clients integrating through Corpay's REST APIs, File Upload, SFTP, ERP and other supported integration modalities.
- Participate in technical discovery and solutioning discussions to understand client requirements and determine appropriate implementation approaches.
- Support clients with test environment setup, configuration and integration readiness activities.
- Provide clear and timely responses to client and internal technical implementation questions.
- Support certification testing, Production readiness and post-go-live warranty activities to ensure successful client adoption.
- Take ownership of assigned implementation activities while escalating complex technical or delivery risks appropriately.
- Maintain accurate and timely implementation documentation and project updates.
Technical Analysis & Troubleshooting
- Investigate integration, configuration and implementation issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and available system information.
- Analyse API requests and responses, file structures, payment workflows, logs and other technical data to identify potential causes and solutions.
- Work collaboratively with Technical Sales, Product, Engineering, Client Engagement, Support and other teams to resolve technical blockers.
- Clearly document technical findings, troubleshooting steps and recommended solutions.
- Contribute to testing and validation of new or enhanced product capabilities where Solutions Engineering support is required.
Global Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Technical Sales Consultants and the Solutions Engineering Lead to support successful client delivery across North America and, where required, other global regions.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different geographies and time zones.
- Share lessons learned, technical knowledge and implementation best practices with the wider Solutions Engineering team.
- Contribute to team documentation, implementation standards and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Maintain effective communication with North American stakeholders while remaining connected to the wider Chennai and global Payment Solutions organisation.
Special Projects, Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Support special and ad-hoc business initiatives requiring technical analysis, implementation support, testing, reporting or other Solutions Engineering expertise.
- Support Product and other stakeholders with the testing, analysis and rollout of new technical capabilities where appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to improve implementation and business processes through automation and improved tooling.
- Develop, maintain or enhance automated workflows using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate where appropriate.
- Work with stakeholders to understand automation requirements and translate them into practical and supportable solutions.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency, scalability and delivery quality.
- Contribute to the continued standardisation and improvement of Solutions Engineering processes, documentation and implementation approaches.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Technical Sales, implementation consulting, technical support, or a comparable client-facing technical role, ideally within payments, fintech or financial services.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of client-facing technical issues and implementations, and exercise sound judgement when determining when escalation is required.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, file-based integrations, SFTP and/or ERP solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience using tools such as Postman, SQL, Kibana, SEQ, Jira, Confluence or equivalent would be advantageous.
- Experience within payments, fintech, banking or financial services would be advantageous.
- Experience supporting North American clients or working across US time zones would be beneficial.
- Exposure to workflow automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate or equivalent would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining ownership of assigned deliverables.
- Ability to adapt to ad-hoc projects, new technical requirements and changing business priorities.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to delivery timelines, quality and stakeholder communication.
