About the role

As a Solution Engineer, you will be the technical partner to our Account Executives throughout the sales cycle in the EU market. You will understand customer needs, design solutions that fit their environment, and show how our product solves real business problems.

This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer with a few years of experience who enjoys working with customers. You will learn from senior Solution Engineers while owning your own customer engagements.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives to run discovery calls and understand customer requirements, pain points and technical environments.

  • Deliver tailored product demos and presentations to technical and business audiences.

  • Design and document solution architectures that map our product to customer use cases.

  • Build and support proofs of concept (POCs) and pilots, including setup, integrations and success criteria.

  • Answer technical questions in RFPs, RFIs and security questionnaires.

  • Support integrations with customer systems through APIs, SDKs and common data formats (REST, JSON, webhooks).

  • Ensure a smooth handover from pre-sales to implementation and customer success teams.

  • Share customer feedback and feature requests with Product and Engineering.

  • Create reusable assets such as demo environments, scripts, technical guides and FAQs.

  • Stay current on our product, competitors and EU-specific requirements such as GDPR and data residency.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field (Software Engineering, IT); Computer Science preferred.

  • 3–4 years of experience in solution engineering, sales engineering, technical consulting, software development or a similar customer-facing technical role.

  • Solid understanding of web technologies, APIs (REST), JSON and basic networking concepts.

  • Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python or JavaScript.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and SaaS products.

  • Basic SQL and understanding of databases.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences.

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

  • Eligible to work in the EU.

Nice to have

  • A second EU language, such as German, French, Spanish or Dutch.

  • Experience selling to or working with customers across multiple EU countries.

  • Knowledge of GDPR, data privacy and security standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2).

  • Experience with CRM and sales tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot.

  • Exposure to identity and authentication (SSO, SAML, OAuth).

  • Cloud or product certifications (for example, AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect – Associate).
