Show job description

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

We are hiring a Solution Engineer to join our Global Accounts Solution Engineering team supporting Snowflake's financial services customers. In this role you will be the technical partner for a portfolio of strategically important global financial institutions across capital markets, banking, insurance, and asset management. You will support the full sales cycle, from discovery and qualification through proof of concept and technical close, and build the technical credibility that underpins every commercial conversation. Working alongside Account Executives and supported by Senior Solution Engineers, you will develop deep knowledge of each customer's data environment and use it to progress new use cases across their organisations.

AS A SENIOR SOLUTION ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

  • Support end-to-end technical sales engagements across a portfolio of global financial services accounts, from initial discovery and qualification through proof of concept delivery and technical close

  • Build and deliver tailored demonstrations and solution presentations that connect Snowflake's platform capabilities to each customer's data challenges and business objectives

  • Design and execute proof of concept engagements covering financial services use cases including risk analytics, regulatory data platforms, fraud detection, customer intelligence, and AI/ML workloads

  • Develop working knowledge of each customer's data architecture, cloud environment, and technology stack to position Snowflake solutions accurately and credibly

  • Partner with Account Executives on day-to-day deal activity, preparing technical responses to RFPs, supporting commercial conversations, and helping remove technical blockers

  • Coordinate with Snowflake's Professional Services, Support, and Product teams to ensure customers receive the right resources at the right time

  • Build strong working relationships with customers' data engineers, architects, and technical managers, becoming a reliable and trusted point of contact

OUR IDEAL SENIOR SOLUTION ENGINEER WILL HAVE:

  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales solution engineering, data engineering, or technical consulting in enterprise B2B technology, with exposure to financial services organisations

  • Solid understanding of financial services data use cases including risk management, regulatory reporting, fraud analytics, or customer data platforms

  • Proficiency in SQL and Python, with the ability to write and debug scripts, build PoC pipelines, and work comfortably in a technical customer environment

  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for both engineering and business audiences

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams across several accounts while maintaining strong customer relationships

  • Experience using AI and LLM-based tools in technical workflows, with the ability to articulate Snowflake's Cortex AI capabilities in a healthcare context, including data privacy and compliance considerations

BONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:

  • Prior experience in or exposure to financial services technology, including banking, insurance, capital markets, or asset management environments

  • Experience with data engineering tools commonly used in FSI environments (dbt, Kafka, Spark, or equivalent)

  • Experience with real-time or near-real-time clinical and operational data pipelines in regulated environments

  • Understanding of financial services data governance, compliance requirements, or regulatory reporting frameworks (Basel, MiFID II, GDPR)

  • Experience working with multiple enterprise accounts in a global or regional solution engineering role

Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
