Solution Engineer - NYC

We are a forward-thinking company that values innovation, responsibility, and fairness. We're seeking an experienced, independent Solution Engineer to join our growing New York team. This is a critical role requiring complete ownership of complex technical processes — from initial pre-sales through full customer onboarding. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead processes independently in a fast-paced startup environment. Location & travel: This position is based in New York, NY. We operate on a hybrid model, with time split between our NYC office and remote work. Some travel is expected — to meet prospective and existing clients, support on-site integrations, and collaborate with teammates — so candidates should be willing and able to travel as needed. What You'll Do: Lead Technical Sales Processes Take full ownership of the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including a deep understanding of customer requirements and matching them to the right solutions. Conduct professional product demonstrations and technical workshops for prospective clients. Develop and present customized solutions that address specific client challenges and business objectives . Technical Implementation & Onboarding Lead the complete technical implementation of Justt's solutions for new clients, ensuring seamless integration with their existing systems. Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support so clients maximize the value they get from our solutions. Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges throughout the onboarding process. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with sales, product, customer success, and engineering teams to exceed client expectations. Translate client needs into clearly defined technical tasks for R&D and help drive them to completion. Contribute to the development of technical documentation and training materials. What You'll Bring 5+ years of proven experience in solution engineering, pre-sales, or technical consulting roles. 2+ years in fintech or payments — a strong bonus. Deep understanding of AI-powered solutions, payment processing systems, and their applications in fraud prevention, chargeback management, and dispute resolution. Technical Skills Proven, hands-on experience with integration processes, APIs, and data mapping. Strong problem-solving abilities and a critical-thinking approach to client challenges. Ability to define and scope technical tasks for engineering teams and manage them through delivery. Strong project management capabilities — able to plan, coordinate, and drive multiple onboarding and integration projects to completion, keeping stakeholders aligned and timelines on track. Personal Qualities Exceptional communication and presentation skills — able to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
