POSITION TITLE: Solution & Market Lead - Pharma (Medical Affairs, HEOR, & RWE)

LOCATION: Cambridge, MA (hybrid) or U.S. (remote)

This position reports to our global HQ in Cambridge, MA. Travel is expected domestically and internationally when needed.

Who We Are:

TriNetX connects healthcare organizations and researchers across the globe so they can see what’s happening in real patient populations—not guesses, not simulations.

Our aim is simple and ambitious: Provide a clear path to trustworthy answers, whether your goal is to create promising new therapies, publish groundbreaking research, or improve health outcomes.

We keep identifiable data where it belongs—inside more than 11,000+ clinical sites across 20+ countries—preserving security, provenance, and granularity. Our trusted partnerships with providers ensure high-fidelity data, and a properly governed linkage back to individual patients.

At TriNetX, we enable life sciences, healthcare, and academic institutions to strengthen human health—with data you can trace, evidence you can defend, and answers you can trust.

Who We Are Looking For:

The Solution & Market Lead (Pharma) for Medical Affairs, HEOR, and Real-World Evidence (RWE) is accountable for owning the solution strategy, market positioning, and commercial success of offerings that support evidence generation and value demonstration across the pharmaceutical lifecycle.

This role serves as the market owner and domain authority for post-approval and peri-approval evidence use cases, translating the needs of Medical Affairs, HEOR, and Value & Outcomes teams into scalable, differentiated solutions. The individual will work cross-functionally with Product, Data, Delivery, Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure solutions are scientifically credible, commercially compelling, and aligned with evolving regulatory expectations. The role pairs deep scientific and methodological authority in RWE and HEOR with commercial ownership of solutions.

They will be responsible for understanding and communicating market problems/hassles and working with our Product Management, Client Delivery, and Commercial teams to devise, build, sell, and deliver existing and new solutions.

This role will report into our SVP, Solutions and Product Management and join a team of fellow market owners.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Market & Customer Leadership
    • Own deep expertise in Medical Affairs, HEOR, and RWE workflows, including value story development, comparative effectiveness, burden of illness, and outcomes research.
    • Maintain a current view of regulatory evidence expectations across key geographies and therapeutic areas.
    • Define market problems and buyer personas (e.g., Medical Affairs, HEOR, Epidemiology, Evidence Generation) and articulate their success metrics and pain points.
  • Market Strategy & Solution Portfolio (RWE and Data Solutions)
    • Partner closely with Solutions, Product, Data, Engineering, and Delivery teams to shape a portfolio of market-facing RWE and data solutions for the market, including defining market problems, driving competitive differentiation, and ultimately driving the growth of the market.
    • Own the solution roadmap from design through launch and post-launch optimization, including packaging, pricing inputs, and value articulation.
  • Go-to-Market
    • Develop the GTM strategy for Medical Affairs, HEOR, and RWE solutions within pharma, in partnership with Commercial, which owns sales enablement and execution.
    • Support complex deals by participating in discovery, shaping solution approaches, and engaging credibly with senior medical and evidence stakeholders.
  • Revenue & Impact Accountability
    • Own revenue growth, revenue retention, profitability, pipeline influence, and bookings contribution for the portfolio of market-facing RWE and data solutions, in collaboration with the Commercial organization.
    • Balance near-term commercial opportunities with longer-term platform and capability investments.
    • Track post-sale usage and outcomes to refine solution-market fit and expand footprint within the market.
  • Cross-Functional & Thought Leadership
    • Ensure scientific rigor, methodological credibility (e.g., causal inference, comparative effectiveness and safety, target trial emulation), and compliance considerations are embedded in solution design and positioning.
    • Act as an internal and external thought leader on the role of RWE, HEOR, and value evidence in modern pharma decision-making, including through publications, scientific forums, and external partnerships.

What You Bring to TriNetX:

  • Demonstrated track record of shaping or owning evidence, solution, or product strategy, such as launching, scaling, or partnering on new RWE, HEOR, or data solutions or innovative evidence-generation approaches, within pharma, biotech, CROs, academia, or evidence/data vendors. Senior evidence-generation leaders ready to move into commercial solution ownership are encouraged to apply.
  • 8+ years of experience in Epidemiology, HEOR, RWE, or outcomes research within pharma, biotech, CROs, academia, or evidence/data vendors.
  • Deep methodological expertise in causal inference and comparative effectiveness and safety research (e.g., target trial emulation, counterfactual methods, doubly robust estimation), with a record of designing and generating credible, decision-grade RWE.
  • Experience shaping and growing a portfolio of market-facing RWE and data solutions, including positioning, packaging, and commercial performance.
  • Strong understanding of real-world data sources, study designs (retrospective and prospective), and evidence generation for regulatory use.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority in a matrix environment, including external and policy stakeholders.

Bonus Points:

  • Advanced degree (PhD, ScD, DrPH, PharmD, MPH, MSc, MD) or equivalent experience in epidemiology, health economics, outcomes research, or related fields.
  • Peer-reviewed publications, recognized scientific standing in RWE methods, and working knowledge of pharmacoepidemiology.

Benefits for US employees:
