At SCP Health, what you do matters
As part of the SCP Health team, you have an opportunity to make a difference. At our core, we work to bring hospitals and healers together in the pursuit of clinical effectiveness. With a portfolio of over 8 million patients, 7500 providers, 30 states, and 400 healthcare facilities, SCP Health is a leader in clinical practice management spanning the entire continuum of care, including emergency medicine, hospital medicine, wellness, telemedicine, intensive care, and ambulatory care.
Why you will love working here:
- Strong track record of providing excellent work/life balance.
- Comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive culture of belonging and empowerment through our core values - collaboration, courage, agility, and respect.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Solution Design
- Turn business needs and requirements into solution concepts and functional designs centered on Salesforce, accounting for how QGenda, Workday, and integrations interact
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical spikes from product epics, partnering with Engineering so work is ready to build
- Partner with Product Management to ensure requirements align with architecture best practices and platform standards; recommend alternatives when a request introduces unnecessary customization, technical debt, or cross-system risk
- Evaluate design options and recommend a path, making trade-offs clear (cost, effort, scale, risk, time to market)
- Ensure solutions align across workstreams and with SCP’s platform direction and architecture standards
- Produce solution artifacts, including architecture and data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and process-to-system maps, using tools such as Lucidchart, plus wireframes or UI mockups where needed
System & Integration Analysis
- Query systems and validate data to understand how solutions actually behave
- Review integration behavior between Salesforce, QGenda, Workday, and MuleSoft, and interpret findings with Engineering and Technical Architects to confirm design intent
- Lead root-cause analysis for design and integration issues, and feed what you learn back into future designs
- Document data mappings, source-of-truth decisions, and integration requirements in design artifacts
- Identify data and integration needs early in discovery, not after build
Design Governance
- Prepare complete design submissions and present them to the Design Authority and EARB
- Record key design decisions in decision records
- Apply established platform standards (naming conventions, data model patterns, access controls, development practices) in every design
- Partner with security, compliance, and SOX stakeholders so solutions meet control requirements
Engineering Partnership
- Hand off designs to the Senior Developers serving in the Technical Architect role, and resolve feasibility and build constraints with them
- Stay engaged through build to make sure what gets built matches the design, and approve any design changes
- Give Product Management feasibility, effort, and dependency input to support prioritization
Delivery Support
- Take part in backlog refinement as the design voice, making sure stories are ready to build from a design standpoint
- Work with QA to define design-level test scenarios, including integration and end-to-end flows
- Track design dependencies and risks across cross-functional initiatives
- Drive defect resolution when the root cause is in the design or an integration
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on Salesforce, QGenda, and Workday releases and their impact on SCP solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve the platform, automate, and simplify
- Use AI assistants and agentic tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Salesforce Agentforce/Einstein) to draft stories and documentation and to speed analysis, data validation, and exploration of design options, while staying accountable for accuracy and design decisions
Qualifications
Experience
- 6-8 years in business analysis, solution design, or systems analysis, including solution design across more than one system
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce implementations or enhancements
- Experience with integrated enterprise systems; QGenda, Workday, or similar is a strong plus
- Experience in Agile delivery teams
- Background in healthcare or another regulated environment preferred
Technical & Platform Skills
- Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform: data model, security model, standard and custom objects, flows, automation; familiarity with Salesforce Health Cloud is a plus
- Working knowledge of how QGenda and Workday operate and how they integrate with Salesforce and each other, to inform cross-system design
- Competency in SOQL/SQL to query and validate data across systems
- Understanding of integration and data flow design: APIs, middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), webhooks, and batch vs. real-time patterns
- Ability to interpret integration outputs and findings to support root-cause analysis
- Proficiency with diagramming and design tools (Lucidchart, Visio, or similar); experience with wireframing or mockup tools a plus
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Practical experience using AI assistants to support analysis, story authoring, and documentation
Certifications (Preferred)
- Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator
- Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Salesforce Certified Business Analyst)
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
- Salesforce Health Cloud Accredited Professional
- Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist
- Willingness to pursue Salesforce Integration Architect or Data Architect certification
What Success Looks Like
- Design submissions are complete and approved without major rework
- Few design gaps are found after build or go-live
- Integration and data issues are diagnosed quickly and fixed at the root cause
- Product Management, Engineering, and QA see you as the person who knows how the pieces fit together
Pay Range:
86,539.00 - 128,101.00 USD annuallyThis range represents the anticipated base salary for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
