Job Description:

Key Responsibilities & Technical Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with strong expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, infrastructure, security, and application architecture.

1. Solution & Enterprise Architecture

• Designing and documenting solutions across hybrid, on-premise and public cloud environments.
• Experience with enterprise architecture, solution design and architectural governance.
• Working with legacy systems and large-scale transformation programmes.
• Designing secure, scalable, highly available and high-performing solutions.

2. Cloud & Infrastructure

• Strong experience with AWS and Azure cloud implementations.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, databases, networking and security gateways.
• Experience designing mission-critical infrastructure solutions.

3. Integration & Application Architecture

• Experience with microservices, SOA, event-driven and serverless architectures.
• Knowledge of middleware and integration technologies such as JBoss, WebLogic, RabbitMQ, MuleSoft, Boomi and Kafka.
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms and messaging solutions.

4. Security & Governance

• IT security and risk management within architecture.
• Experience working with architectural design authorities and governance forums.
• Supplier assessments, RFI/RFP processes and technical due diligence.
• Experience working within highly regulated environments, preferably financial services.

5. Agile & DevOps

• Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, as well as Waterfall.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence and architectural documentation tools.
• Knowledge of ArchiMate, C4, Mermaid, draw.io, Sparx or ADOIT.

6. AI & Emerging Technologies

• Experience working with AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Familiarity with Anthropic Claude and AI-assisted solution design.
• Interest in exploring and implementing innovative AI-driven approaches.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage with C-suite executives, business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise-level architecture solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud, infrastructure, application and integration architecture.
• Previous experience in financial services or other regulated industries would be advantageous.
