The Opportunity

We're looking for a Solutions Consultant to join our team as an independent individual contributor, helping customers understand how UserTesting can support their business goals and experience research needs.

In this role, you'll partner closely with Sales and cross-functional teams to support deal strategy, advance opportunities, and deliver engaging customer experiences. You'll bring together product knowledge, research fundamentals, and consultative skills to demonstrate value, recommend solutions, and help customers make informed decisions.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on customer relationships and business growth while continuing to build your expertise within a collaborative Solutions Consulting team.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales to drive deal success: Collaborate with Sales representatives and account teams to execute deal strategies, conduct pipeline reviews, identify gaps using frameworks such as MEDDICC, and support opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Deliver engaging customer experiences: Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders through thoughtful discovery, tailored product demonstrations, and clear, value-driven conversations that connect UserTesting solutions to customer needs.
  • Execute proofs of concept and value: Lead Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Value (POV) activities, aligning with defined success criteria, demonstrating platform capabilities, and helping customers understand the potential impact of UserTesting.
  • Recommend solutions with confidence: Provide consultative guidance on product capabilities, configurations, and relevant use cases, while effectively addressing common technical, product, and competitive questions.
  • Build product and research expertise: Develop and apply strong knowledge of the UserTesting platform, integrations, and qualitative research methodologies to support customer conversations and solution recommendations.
  • Collaborate and share insights: Work with Customer Success, Product, and other cross-functional partners to support deal execution, share customer feedback, and contribute to team learning and best practices.
  • Demonstrate ownership and professionalism: Independently manage priorities, exercise sound judgment, and contribute to a positive team environment through reliable execution, knowledge sharing, and peer mentorship.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, or a related customer-facing technical or consultative role.
  • Experience supporting sales cycles, partnering with account teams, and delivering effective customer-facing presentations or product demonstrations.
  • Foundational understanding of sales methodologies, pipeline management, and opportunity qualification processes.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate product capabilities and technical concepts into clear, customer-focused value.
  • Ability to understand customer challenges, recommend relevant solutions, and navigate common product or competitive objections with confidence.
  • Strong collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver on commitments.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to continuously develop expertise in technology, customer experience, and experience research methodologies.

Don’t meet every single requirement but excited about the role? We encourage you to apply. Research shows that some candidates are less likely to apply unless they meet 100% of the qualifications—but you may be exactly who we’re looking for. Diverse perspectives drive innovation, and we’re committed to building a team with a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and skills.
