Partnering with our Account Executives, our Solutions Engineers work directly with maintenance managers, reliability engineers, and plant leadership to show exactly how AI-powered condition monitoring and predictive maintenance will raise reliability, increase uptime, and deliver ROI in their operation. They lead technical evaluations, prove value on the plant floor, and help win partnerships with industry leaders like Tesla, Micron, John Deere, and Bosch.

What you'll do
As a Solutions Engineer at Tractian, you’ll bring your technical and industrial expertise to the front line of every deal. Partnering with our Account Executives, you’ll work with maintenance managers, reliability engineers, plant managers, and operations leaders to uncover their biggest challenges, show them how AI-powered condition monitoring and predictive maintenance solve those challenges, and prove the impact in uptime, reliability, and performance. You’ll lead technical evaluations, guide customers through deployment decisions, and turn interest into lasting partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives as the technical expert throughout the sales cycle, engaging maintenance, reliability, and operations teams to understand customer challenges and requirements.
- Lead consultative discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations that showcase Tractian’s condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and predictive maintenance solutions.
- Translate technical insights into measurable business outcomes, including reduced downtime, improved asset performance, increased uptime, and ROI.
- Build credibility with frontline maintenance teams and executive stakeholders by leveraging real-world industrial experience and technical expertise.
- Support RFPs, RFIs, proof of concepts, and customer technical discussions while collaborating with Product, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to ensure long-term success.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage customer interactions, track sales activity, and provide visibility into pipeline progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in solutions engineering, preferably in asset monitoring, IoT, or related technology sectors.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and explain complex technological solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and close sales.
- Valid driver's license with a good standing record.
