About Nirvana
At Nirvana, we're building the trust layer for healthcare. Our technology helps healthcare organizations accurately understand insurance coverage, benefits, and patient costs, making healthcare more transparent and accessible.
We work with some of the largest healthcare organizations in the country, using AI and machine learning to solve complex insurance problems and reduce administrative work for providers.
About the role
We're looking for a curious, resourceful builder to join our Orion team as a Solutions Engineer.
Orion works at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Engineering. We're on the front lines with prospective customers, figuring out how Nirvana's technology fits into their workflows, building solutions that demonstrate value, and discovering opportunities to make our products better.
You'll work directly with customers to understand their problems, build pilots and automations using our APIs, and help turn successful experiments into product capabilities that can scale to more customers.
This role is a great fit for someone with 2 to 4 years of experience who loves solving problems, enjoys building things, and wants to learn quickly. You don’t need to have been a Solutions Engineer before, and you’ll ramp up alongside a senior member of our team. We’re looking for someone with the curiosity and drive to figure things out.
What you'll do
Build pilots and automations. Work with prospective customers to build practical solutions using Nirvana's APIs, scripts, and automation tools that demonstrate the value of our technology.
Solve real customer problems. Join sales conversations, understand how customers work today, and identify opportunities to automate manual processes or improve their workflows.
Push the boundaries of our products. Experiment with new ways to improve the accuracy and detection rates of our eligibility products, using real-world customer problems to identify gaps and test solutions.
Shape our product roadmap. Work closely with Product and Engineering to turn what you learn from pilots into ideas, improvements, and potentially entirely new product capabilities.
Demonstrate value. Help customers understand what we've built, measure the impact of pilots, and communicate results to technical and business stakeholders.
Make what works repeatable. Document what you build, share lessons across the team, and help turn successful pilots into reusable solutions.
What we're looking for
A builder's mindset. You enjoy making things work, whether that's writing code, connecting APIs, building automations, or experimenting with new tools.
Technical curiosity. You're comfortable learning technical concepts and getting hands-on with technology. Experience with Python, JavaScript, SQL, APIs, or automation tools is a plus.
Resourcefulness. You're good at figuring things out, even when the problem isn't clearly defined and there's no existing playbook.
Strong problem-solving skills. You like getting to the bottom of why something isn't working and finding creative ways to improve it.
Communication skills. You're comfortable asking questions, working with different teams, and explaining technical ideas in simple terms.
Ownership and initiative. You take pride in seeing things through, learn quickly from feedback, and aren't afraid to try something new.
We’re looking for 2 to 4 years of experience in a technical, customer-facing, or analytical role, such as software engineering, implementation, data analysis, or technical consulting. What matters most is your ability to learn, build, and solve problems.
Bonus points
You've built something on your own, whether it's a side project, application, automation, or tool.
You've experimented with AI coding tools, APIs, or workflow automation platforms.
You're interested in healthcare and excited about improving how the system works.
You've worked in a startup or other fast-moving environment.
Why join
Build real things. Your work won't sit in a slide deck. You'll build solutions that customers can actually use.
Learn across functions. Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and company leadership to understand how technology becomes a product and a business.
Help shape what we build next. The problems you uncover and the solutions you experiment with could become part of Nirvana's core products.
Grow quickly. Take on meaningful responsibility early and develop your technical, product, and customer-facing skills as the company grows.
