The Opportunity

At JBT Marel, we're looking for a Solutions Manager, Poultry NA. Leads Layout and Project Engineering teams in delivering technical solutions throughout the sales and project lifecycle. Sets team priorities, allocates resources, and ensures alignment with customer requirements, project objectives, and engineering standards.

Partners with Sales, Innovation, and Project Management leaders to develop solution concepts and technical strategies. Drives consistency in engineering practices, resolves complex technical issues, and supports the hiring, development, and coaching of engineering talent.

Leads continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools, monitors performance metrics, and provides leadership with clear updates on project status, risks, and key deliverables.

This position is located within Gainesville, GA .

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of professional employees and/or supervisors, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, team meetings, and performance discussions to support employee development and accountability.

• Monitor department performance metrics, KPIs, and operational results, taking corrective action as needed.

• Manage staffing levels, workload distribution, and resource allocation to ensure business objectives are met.

• Develop and execute departmental plans, priorities, and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to address business challenges, improve processes, and support strategic initiatives.

• Analyze operational issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and service levels.

Skills

• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively lead, develop, and motivate professional employees, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
• Ability to manage change effectively, driving adoption of new processes, initiatives, and organizational priorities while maintaining employee engagement and operational stability.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders, facilitate collaboration, and build effective working relationships across functions and organizational levels.

• Experience leading, including employee development, goal setting, performance evaluations, succession planning, and corrective actions.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred or Higher education in a technical field with comparable experience and knowledge of process technology
• 3-5 years in a management role
• Experience with or knowledge of CAD design tools
• Strong English skills, both written and verbal
• Proven leadership experience managing workshop, service, manufacturing, repair, or technical operations.
• Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
• Knowledge of the food processing industry requirements is an advantage

Travel & Location

• This is a Hybrid role with up to 25% Travel.
