Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the research and development of new products aligned with business and market requirements.
  • Identify, source, and evaluate reliable suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Research and identify suitable factories based on product requirements, capabilities, quality standards, and commercial viability.
  • Conduct product validation and feasibility assessments, including evaluation of materials, specifications, functionality, and performance.
  • Coordinate product sample development, revisions, testing, and approval with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and evaluate product costing and negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, lead times, and other commercial terms with factories.
  • Review product materials, specifications, construction, quality, and performance to ensure alignment with requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Quality & Compliance team to ensure products meet required quality, compliance, and testing standards before commercial production.
  • Maintain strong supplier and factory relationships while ensuring commercially competitive sourcing outcomes.
  • Identify potential product, supplier, quality, and commercial risks and exercise sound judgment when evaluating sourcing and development opportunities.

  • Strong factory and supplier negotiation skills.
  • Hands-on experience in product sourcing and development.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of product costing.
  • Ability to evaluate suppliers, factories, and product feasibility effectively.
  • Good understanding of materials, product specifications, quality, and performance.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple product development and sourcing activities simultaneously.
