WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In this role, you will contribute to the development of GMV’s space surveillance solutions, working on impactful projects in a dynamic environment. You’ll also have the opportunity to grow and evolve your career as part of a company that is constantly advancing in the space sector.

The successful candidate will be expected to take on the following responsibilities:

-   Lead and coordinate a team of software engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions based on microservices architectures.
-   Oversee the integration of algorithms for Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) systems, ensuring technical consistency and alignment with system requirements.
-   Manage software development activities following Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, task prioritization, progress tracking, and continuous improvement.
-   Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (aerospace engineers, software engineers, systems engineers, and DevOps engineers) to ensure effective coordination and delivery.
-   Supervise and actively contribute to system integration, validation, and testing activities, ensuring software quality and reliability.
-   Drive improvements in performance, scalability, and maintainability of high-throughput data processing systems.
-   Coordinate technical support for operational systems, facilitating troubleshooting and resolution of issues in real-time environments.
-   Promote software engineering best practices, including code reviews, technical documentation, automated testing, and compliance with quality and space industry standards.
-   Support the professional development of team members through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

-  Solid experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot, with a strong understanding of microservices architectures and distributed systems.
-  Experience leading or coordinating software development teams in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), including sprint planning, task prioritization, and delivery tracking.
-  Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger), including API security mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).
-  Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including data modeling and query optimization.
-  Experience with Docker, containerized environments, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git).
-  Good understanding of software engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, clean code, and continuous improvement.
-  Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
Valuable knowledge

-  Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
-  Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
-  Background in aerospace, space systems, or scientific software
-  Experience handling large-scale data processing
