A central part of this role is partnership with global medical partners as well as IDEXX's established regional commercial, marketing and medical teams. This is a highly relationship-driven role. The role requires someone who can combine medical credibility with an approachable, collaborative style and who is comfortable moving between customer engagement, regional partnership, education, commercial deliverables and independent field work.

Why this role matters:

This new position expands our established EU Medical Affairs and Advocacy team, bringing broader European coverage and a stronger presence with specialty clinics in your region. You bring medical and scientific expertise closer to customers, thought leaders, and academic partners. You turn science and innovation into meaningful clinical education and engagement, strengthening relationships across the veterinary profession and you bring insights from the field back into IDEXX to shape strategy. You also help prepare the EU region for new product innovations as part of our go-to-market process.

In this role:

  • You will build trusted peer-to-peer relationships with prioritized veterinary specialists and specialty practice teams in partnership.
  • You will deliver specialty and GP-level education and scientific discussion related to diagnostic medicine and IDEXX innovations.
  • You will translate complex scientific evidence and diagnostic information into practical clinical application for specialist and GP audiences.
  • You will engage customers and KOLs through hospital visits, small-group and seminar education, virtual meetings, conferences, and other educational forums.
  • You will support priority specialty initiatives across the IDEXX diagnostic portfolio, including areas such as oncology, hematology, clinical pathology, and integrated diagnostics.

Partnership and Strategic Account Support:

  • You will serve as a specialist medical partner to existing teams within Germany, supplementing commercial teams with peer-to-peer specialty expertise.
  • You will collaborate closely with Professional Services Veterinarians, Sales Managers, Veterinary Diagnostic Consultants, Corporate Accounts, and other customer-facing teams to identify opportunities where specialist and KOL engagement can strengthen customer utilization and regional impact.
  • You will support regional strategies through coordinated specialist education, hospital engagement, clinical workflow support, and follow-up.
  • You will provide regional teams with clinical insights, educational resources, and specialist perspective that help extend customer impact.
  • You will collaborate with Global medical partners and key stakeholders

Medical Affairs and Advocacy Franchise Strategy:

You will own the regional level advocacy strategy for assigned category, proactively supporting current and future innovations including but not limited to:

  • Ownership of EU level KOL advisory forums and partnership with their members
  • Pan-European Specialist Conference advocacy
  • Identifying clinical study and data opportunities to present at European conferences
  • Working with key stakeholders to adapt and transfer franchise strategy to country teams
  • Partnership with Regional Franchise marketing and Global Medical Affairs partners

Insights and Program Measurement:

  • You will document engagement activity and contribute to measurement of program outcomes, including adoption, utilization, engagement, and other established SSV program KPIs.
  • You will proactively engage with the team as well as Global SSV colleagues on program evolution, regional planning, best practices, and continuous improvement.

What you need to succeed:

Required qualifications:
