SQL Developer (Market Risk Applications & Production Support)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support and develop market risk applications for one top financial institution in US. You will join a global team of professionals providing services to major clients in the financial industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Write database code using SQL Server (Stored Procedures, Functions, CTE queries, DML commands)
• Improve and Check Processes performance on SQL Server (Execution Plan, Indexes)
• Develop and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.
• Provide support for market risk applications, including monitoring, incident resolution, and problem management.
• Manage data pipelines and scheduled jobs.
• Handle business-critical incidents, including stakeholder communication and post-incident reviews.
• Document operational procedures, workflows, and technical solutions.

Core Competencies

• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote global team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in SQL Development, Application Support or Production Support environments, preferably within financial services.
• Proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of relational/dimensional databases and data warehouses.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and development of store procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft SSIS Packages.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT and DWH concepts.
• Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Tidal.
• Experience documenting operational design flows and processes.
• Exposure to tools like GIT, ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence is a plus.
