Overview:
This is a new-business-focused sales role. The person will build and own their own book of business, with most of their time spent finding and closing new clients. They’ll also be the relationship owner for a smaller group of existing clients and will partner with leadership and our delivery teams to scope work, build proposals, and grow accounts.
Key responsibilities:
- Prospect, build, and close a personal pipeline of new clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a select group of existing clients and look for opportunities to expand those relationships
- Sell custom software development, mobile and web apps, and managed services engagements
- Position our nearshore delivery team in Guadalajara as a cost and time zone advantage
- Partner with delivery and technical leads to scope projects, estimate work, and write proposals and SOWs
- Keep the sales pipeline current and report on, forecast, and deal activity
- Build a regional presence through industry events, local business groups, and referral partners
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual new revenue targets
Geographic area:
Based in Central Arkansas or Northwest Arkansas. Primary territory is Arkansas and the surrounding region, including Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, and Tennessee, with openness to national accounts and remote clients. Some travel expected.
Required background and experience:
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling technology services such as custom software, IT services, consulting, or managed services
- Proven track record as a hunter, consistently sourcing and closing new logos rather than managing inherited accounts
- Experience running full-cycle sales, from cold outreach through contract signature
- Comfortable talking with technical and executive buyers
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and how project-based and retainer engagements are sold
- Existing network in Arkansas or the surrounding region is a strong plus
- Experience selling nearshore or offshore services is a plus
Seniority level:
Senior individual contributor. Should be self-directed, own their numbers, and build pipeline without relying on inbound leads. Not a people manager to start, but could grow into a sales leadership role.
Compensation structure:
Base salary plus commission , weighted toward new business, with uncapped earning potential.
