SUMMARY: Under managerial direction and regular review, will perform general accounting tasks with a focus on analysis, accuracy and timeliness and will partner with assigned department heads on financial calculations, data processing and system management, ensuring end results are in compliance with GAAP and SEC requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage tasks within the month end close process and prepare account reconciliations. Analyze and audit monthly transactional data to ensure accuracy. Prepare and post monthly journal entries. Prepare statements and reports for internal and external publication. Prepare documents for internal auditors, external auditors, and tax audits. Serve as subject matter expert to their assigned partners, providing financial advice and over site. Develop and implement training programs relating to general accounting policy procedures and coding for assigned partners. Review and monitor accounting processes for assigned partners and recommend solutions when necessary. Research accounting standards and guidelines and make recommendations for accounting treatment of unusual or new transactions. Assist in the preparation of Board Meeting and SEC reporting. Analyze internal processes to ensure compliance with GAAP requirement and make recommendation to areas of concerns. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 6-10 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. Proficient knowledge of GAAP reporting required. Work history in the staffing industry, with a public company (SEC registrant) or with a public accounting firm a plus. The following technical skills preferred: PeopleSoft FS and Microsoft Excel. Fifth year or Master’s degree preferred. CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
