The Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Accounting is based in New Jersey/New York or Jacksonville, FL and reports to the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Accounting. This role independently supports and helps lead supply chain and inventory accounting activities across Tapestry’s Distribution Centers, with primary responsibility for complex inventory reconciliations, month-end close, reporting, SOX control execution, and issue resolution. The Senior Analyst provides timely, accurate analysis and actionable insight into inventory activity across the supply chain for all Tapestry brands, identifies risks and trends, and drives process improvements aligned with the continued transformation of Tapestry’s supply chain.

This position serves as a key partner to Distribution Center Operations, Retail Inventory Control, Trade Compliance, Transportation, Account Services, Production Planning, and other corporate and field teams. The Senior Analyst may also provide day-to-day guidance, knowledge sharing, and review support to analysts and business partners.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to...

· Own complex inventory reconciliations and analyze inventory movements, adjustments, and exceptions between Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), SAP, and related reporting tools for Distribution Centers across North America, Europe, and Asia.

· Lead assigned month-end and quarter-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analyses, supporting schedules, and management reporting within established timelines.

· Investigate inventory discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional partners, and communicate risks, conclusions, and recommendations to management.

· Review cycle count and physical inventory results, validate significant variances, monitor remediation, and support audit and control requirements for Distribution Centers.

· Execute and maintain inventory-related SOX controls, support control testing and audit requests, identify control gaps, and recommend sustainable improvements to policies, procedures, and documentation.

· Develop and enhance recurring inventory reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools that improve visibility, accuracy, and decision-making across the supply chain.

· Serve as a subject-matter resource for assigned inventory accounting processes, providing guidance, training, and review support to analysts and cross-functional business partners.

· Lead or play a key role in system implementations, UAT, Distribution Center transitions, and other cross-functional projects by documenting requirements, testing results, issues, and process impacts.

· Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities that strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, and improve the timeliness and quality of financial information.

· Manage ad hoc analyses and special projects with limited direction, balancing multiple priorities and escalating material issues appropriately.

The accomplished individual will possess...

· 4+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, inventory accounting, distribution, supply chain, or a manufacturing environment.

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant certification is a plus.

· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization or reporting tools is a plus.

· SAP S/4HANA, WMS, or other ERP and inventory management system experience preferred.

· Strong knowledge of account reconciliations, journal entries, financial analysis, internal controls, and month-end close processes.

· Demonstrated ability to independently analyze complex data, identify trends and control risks, determine root causes, and translate findings into practical recommendations.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly present issues, conclusions, and recommendations to business partners and management.

· Proven ability to lead workstreams, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver accurate results with limited direction.

· Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships, influence without direct authority, and provide constructive guidance to peers and junior team members.

· Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, curiosity, and adaptability in ambiguous or evolving situations.
