POSITION : Sr. Associate Director of Financial Aid & Data Analysis DEPARTMENT : Financial Aid REPORTS TO : Director of Financial Aid WORK SCHEDULE : Hybrid work schedule (3 days in office; 2 days remote) REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree required. Minimum five years of related experience in financial aid administration; extensive knowledge of financial aid programs and regulations regarding Federal Pell Grants, Title IV Campus-Based programs, Pennsylvania State Grants and Direct Loans; substantial experience in financial aid counseling, packaging awards, reporting processes and financial aid computer systems desired. Powerfaids, Datatel/JRM knowledge is a requirement. PRIMARY FUNCTION : Responsible for day to day operations, report generation; serve as second in command of the Financial Aid Office; ensure compliance with federal, state and institutional guidelines; implement and enforce policies, procedures and goals of the University; manage and maintain software upgrades; general database integrity and maintenance; direct supervision of other staff members. DUTIES : Serve as part of a seven-person team responsible for training and the daily workflow of the office. Will be primary supervisory back-up in the absence of the director. Supervise and coordinate the work of other staff members, ie., Senior Financial Aid Counselors and/or technology administrator. Set up and programming of all Cost of Attendance Budgets, algorithms for awarding, selection sets, custom reports as needed. Oversee the Satisfactory Academic Progress process. Run reports to determine who needs warning letter, then completing the SAP Form. Create, follow, and maintain a daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting calendar. Prepare all regularly scheduled reports related to institutional, state and federal programs and our student populations, including Student Level Detail Report, full-time spending reports, campus-based aid reports, disbursement reports, reports regarding our Adult & Graduate students, COPA reports, aid by grade level, SKORE, historical data and other reports as requested. Prepare other reports as assigned, including Institutional Research and Enrollment Management needs. Oversee and perform transfer of aid (disbursements) to individual accounts in conjunction with the Business Office and produce reports. Set up and maintenance of all software, automated packaging, Powerfaids upgrades, parameter roll and preparations for next year setup. Disbursements: weekly and the federal Pell grant originations and disbursements. Is knowledgeable about and abides by all NCAA rules and regulations to ensure compliance with departmental, university, conference and NCAA policies and regulations. Athletics reporting: both weekly and required by NCAA. Prepare reports required for annual FISAP, PHEAA review, and external and internal audits. Serve as Module Manager. Analyze and maintain database of all students; reconcile admitted student tracking and deposits and institutional aid advanced. Research discrepancies between databases and correct records accordingly. Responsible to prepare reports of institutional aid spending. Reporting for Institutional Research including AICUP, Factbook, NACUBO, PCHE, Princeton RDS and US News Report. Perform other related duties as assigned.
