We are looking for a person who is passionate about development and is excited to join the team of our Engineers
What you will be doing:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain backend services and web APIs using Python.
- Take ownership of features from technical clarification and design through implementation, release, monitoring, and production support.
- Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions within the team.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and possible improvements early and communicate them to the Team Lead and other engineers.
- Create and maintain relevant technical documentation.
- Conduct thoughtful code reviews and help maintain engineering standards.
- Collaborate with frontend/mobile engineers, QA, Product Managers, designers, and engineers from other teams.
- Actively contribute ideas and knowledge to the cross-team Backend Chapter.
- Participate in team activities such as planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, including performance and reliability problems.
You certainly have:
- Strong experience with server-side development using Python for 6+ years.
- Strong understanding of web APIs, HTTP, and API design principles.
- Experience with asynchronous Python programming.
- Ability to design maintainable technical solutions and evaluate trade-offs.
- Ability to write high-quality, well-structured, reusable, and testable code.
- Effectively use AI coding tools and agents for software development tasks, including implementing features, writing tests, debugging, and documentation.
- Experience working with databases, caching, and distributed systems.
- Can independently investigate production issues using dashboards, metrics, logs, traces, and error-tracking tools.
- Ability to estimate work, identify dependencies and risks, and break larger features into deliverable steps.
- Proactively identifies gaps in tests, documentation, monitoring, and overall code quality and takes ownership of improving them.
- B2+ (upper Intermediate +) level of English and are ready to use it in everyday communication
You can be located anywhere in +/- 2 hours Kyiv timezone, but you have to be initially a citizen of Ukraine.
Can legally travel abroad if needed - position may require business trips in the EU.

It provides both business travelers and their travel agents with detailed itineraries and the best booking options. Every day thousands of business travellers across the world use our software built on modern technology.

On BE: Python, asyncio, aiohttp/fastapi, marshmallow/openAPI. Everything is running on AWS.
Storages: Mongo, Redis
Monitoring: Datadog, Sentry, Clickhouse, Splunk
Other: S3, Unleash, Docker, git, Contentful, Dynaconf
