A Day in Your Life at MKS:
The Process Center of Excellence (CoE) is driving the implementation of Business Process Management (BPM) practices across all MKS divisions and corporate functions. As a Senior Business Process Analyst (Business Process Architect), you will partner with Business Process Owners (BPOs), IT, and functional leaders to shape the enterprise process architecture, apply standards and governance, and lead the design of end-to-end (E2E) processes that enable scalable operations, measurable performance, automation, and the effective use of enterprise AI.
By connecting processes with roles, systems, business rules, controls, data, and performance measures, you will help create trusted business context that can be leveraged by AI solutions to transform how work is performed, measured, and continuously improved.
This is a remote position that can be performed from anywhere within the United States. Employees also have the option to work in a hybrid capacity from our Andover, Massachusetts office.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives and evolving the enterprise process architecture, including process landscapes, value streams, and E2E process models using Celonis Process Management and Process Mining, where applicable, in partnership with BPOs and functional leaders.
- Driving continuous improvement of BPM standards, modeling conventions (BPMN 2.0), documentation quality, and governance processes, including intake, prioritization, design reviews, approvals, and change control.
- Facilitating workshops and change management activities to design future-state E2E processes across functions, aligning roles, handoffs, controls, business rules, data, and enabling systems with business strategy and capability models.
- Defining process performance measures (KPIs), establishing baselines and target outcomes, analyzing performance data, identifying root causes using process mining insights, and developing business cases for process improvements, automation, and AI-enabled opportunities.
- Developing and maintaining contextualized business knowledge by connecting process models with roles, policies, controls, systems, business rules, KPIs, and operational objectives to create trusted business context that supports enterprise AI solutions.
- Partnering with business and technology teams to identify opportunities where AI can improve decision-making, productivity, compliance, and process performance, and translating those opportunities into scalable and governed process designs.
- Mentoring junior analysts, coaching process stakeholders, and advancing BPM capabilities across the organization through training, knowledge sharing, and communities of practice.
Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business process management with demonstrated ownership of process architecture and end-to-end process design within a complex organization.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives from process discovery through implementation, including planning, dependency management, and stakeholder alignment.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to influence without direct authority, drive decision-making, and effectively manage ambiguity.
- Advanced experience with BPM repositories, process modeling tools, and BPMN 2.0, including establishing modeling standards, maintaining process architecture artifacts, and ensuring documentation quality.
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities with the ability to translate business strategy and stakeholder requirements into target-state process designs, business rules, controls, information requirements, and documentation.
- Ability to connect processes, roles, systems, data, controls, and performance measures into a cohesive business context that supports automation, analytics, and AI-enabled operations.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple process architecture, governance, and improvement initiatives while delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Strong English language skills (minimum C1 level).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Celonis Process Management, Signavio, ARIS, or similar process management platforms.
- Experience developing or operating within an enterprise process framework, including process taxonomies, value streams, and governance models.
- Understanding of how process architecture, process mining, business knowledge models, and contextual business data support enterprise AI, intelligent automation, and digital assistant capabilities.
- Experience partnering with enterprise architecture, automation, data, or AI teams to translate business processes and operational knowledge into technology-enabled solutions.
- Experience working in a multinational organization.
