About Us

Condukt is the next-generation compliance platform for financial services, offering an agentic solution powered by real-time data for business identity.

Always-on and policy-aware, Condukt enables financial institutions and fintechs to gain actionable insights into business verification - unlocking growth, increasing efficiency, and strengthening compliance.

We were founded by former operators and builders with deep experience in banking, payments, and lending. Today, our team spans across London and Porto, bringing together engineers, product owners, and operators from companies like Revolut, Meta, Block (Square), SumUp, American Express, Yandex, and OakNorth.

Trusted by leading regulated entities, including Wise, Tide, Mollie, Shift4, Flatpay, and myPOS, Condukt is backed by top investors, including Lightspeed Venture Partners and MMC Ventures.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Compliance Consultant to help our clients navigate regulatory change, horizon-scan upcoming regulation, and overcome regulatory challenges so they can transform their businesses and meet their strategic growth objectives.

This is a versatile, high-impact role at the intersection of regulation, client advisory, practical delivery and product strategy. Your mission is to deeply understand our clients’ needs and regulatory obligations, and to deliver solutions that help them achieve their compliance and business outcomes. You’ll stay ahead of the risk and compliance landscape, translating regulatory change into clear guidance for our customers and concrete requirements for our Product team.

Whether you’re shaping a client’s regulatory strategy or influencing our product roadmap, you’ll bring deep knowledge and hands-on experience of financial crime compliance, along with strong commercial awareness. Acting as an in-house consultant, you’ll connect long-term regulatory horizons with granular operational realities.

As an early-stage, fast-growing company, we value people who take ownership, move comfortably between complex challenges, and have the judgement to turn them into sharp, practical solutions. You’ll also work on long-horizon strategic projects, such as building government relationships and expanding Condukt’s global data footprint, where progress is measured in weeks, not months.

If you thrive in dynamic environments where no two days look the same, enjoy tackling a constant stream of new and complex problems, and want to help shape how financial institutions and fintechs approach compliance, this role is for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as Condukt’s subject matter expert on KYB/KYC and AML/CFT, giving clients clear, commercially minded advice on their regulatory obligations

  • Lead client engagements end to end, from understanding the business challenge and assessing current controls to designing solutions that combine Condukt’s platform with third-party providers and supporting their implementation

  • Produce high-quality, client-ready deliverables, such as gap analyses, risk assessments, onboarding and monitoring frameworks, policies and decision papers

  • Run workshops with client stakeholders, from compliance teams to the C-suite, turning discussion into practical next steps

  • Horizon-scan regulation across the UK, Europe and beyond, and brief clients on what’s coming and what it means for them, directly or alongside our commercial team

  • Advise clients on their compliance stack, testing and benchmarking providers through structured, RFP-style evaluations

  • Build and maintain relationships with regulators, government bodies and company registers to secure access to data, expand Condukt’s global footprint and represent Condukt in industry forums

  • Shape Condukt’s advisory proposition, identifying emerging client needs and opportunities to bring new capabilities to existing clients alongside our commercial team

  • Partner with Product to translate regulatory and client needs into the signals, data and capabilities we build

  • Contribute to business development and thought leadership with a clear, well-argued point of view on regulation, through proposals, client pitches, whitepapers, briefings, webinars and industry events

What you bring:

  • 4+ years’ experience in financial crime compliance, gained in a consultancy, a regulator or a regulated financial services firm

  • Deep domain expertise in risk and compliance, ideally across KYB/KYC, AML/CFT or business onboarding in financial services

  • A track record of advising financial institutions and fintechs on risk, compliance or regulatory matters, with a toolkit of structured frameworks you can adapt to a fast-growing company

  • Experience leading client engagements and producing polished, client-ready deliverables

  • Experience advising on vendor assessment and selection, including running or contributing to RFP processes

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with C-suite stakeholders, regulators and government agencies

  • Strong commercial awareness: you can turn regulatory requirements into solutions clients see real value in

  • A legal background, or solid working knowledge of financial regulation and how legislation translates into operational requirements

  • Sound judgement and tact in sensitive situations: you know what to communicate, to whom and when

  • The analytical rigour to dig into complex legislation and question established interpretations

  • A self-starter mindset that thrives in fast-moving, high-ownership environments

  • The right to work in the United Kingdom

Bonus:

  • Experience in government relations or regulatory affairs

  • Prior experience in fintech, banking, payments or compliance infrastructure

  • Early-stage startup experience

  • Second language proficiency (German, French, and Dutch, especially valued)

Our offer:

  • Tackle meaningful problems with real-world impact

  • Competitive salary and equity package

  • Flat hierarchy with direct access to the founders

  • Top-of-the-line equipment

  • Private health insurance, plus sick and compassionate leave as needed
