Sr Consultant – Project Manager – Modern Workplace About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager – Modern Workplace to lead the delivery of enterprise transformation projects focused on Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Security & Compliance, Active Directory, Collaboration Platforms, Identity & Access Management, Azure-based workplace services, Microsoft Teams Voice, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) integration and migration programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management expertise, stakeholder engagement skills, and experience managing complex technology projects across global teams. This role requires a combination of project governance, Agile delivery, risk management, customer engagement, and cross functional leadership to ensure successful project outcomes. Location: India (Remote) Job Type: Full Time Experience: 5–8 Years or above Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Governance • Lead end-to-end delivery of Modern Workplace projects from initiation through closure. • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and success criteria in collaboration with internal and customer stakeholders. • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and strategic objectives. • Monitor project progress, milestones, dependencies, risks, and budgets to ensure successful delivery. Microsoft Modern Workplace Programs • Manage projects involving: o Microsoft 365 migrations and transformations o Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance o Active Directory modernization and consolidation o Identity and Access Management initiatives o Collaboration platform deployments and migrations o Microsoft Teams Voice and Telephony transformations o Tenant-to-tenant migrations and M&A integration programs o Infrastructure modernization and cloud adoption initiatives • Coordinate technical and business workstreams to ensure seamless execution across multiple project teams. Migration & Transformation Program Management • Lead complex tenant-to-tenant migration, divestiture, acquisition, and business separation projects. • Manage migration programs involving Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, and collaboration platforms. • Coordinate migration planning, assessment, discovery, pilot execution, cutover activities, and hypercare support. • Ensure business readiness through communications, stakeholder engagement, training, and adoption planning. • Manage migration risks, resource dependencies, change management, and governance throughout the project lifecycle. Agile Project Management • Drive Agile delivery practices across project teams. • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning sessions. • Track Agile metrics and continuously improve delivery performance. • Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Stakeholder & Customer Management • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, sponsors, and key stakeholders. • Conduct steering committee meetings, governance reviews, and executive project updates. • Communicate project status, achievements, risks, issues, and mitigation plans clearly and proactively. • Build trusted relationships with customers and internal leadership teams. Resource & Financial Management • Plan and manage project resources effectively to optimize utilization. • Track project financials, forecasts, budget consumption, and profitability. • Coordinate with delivery managers, consultants, architects, engineers, and support teams to ensure project success. • Manage project change requests, scope adjustments, and contractual commitments. Risk & Quality Management • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies. • Develop mitigation and contingency plans to minimize delivery impact. • Ensure adherence to quality standards, project methodologies, and compliance requirements. • Support audit readiness and project documentation governance. Team Leadership • Lead cross-functional project teams across multiple locations and disciplines. • Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to project team members. • Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, innovation, and customer success. Documentation & Reporting • Create and maintain: o Project plans o RAID logs o Status reports o Communication plans o Executive dashboards o Financial trackers o Lessons learned and closure reports • Ensure all project documentation remains accurate and up to date. Preferred Experience • Microsoft 365 migration and transformation programs. • Tenant-to-tenant migration, divestiture, merger, acquisition, and carve-out projects. • Active Directory migration and consolidation projects. • Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance implementations. • Cloud transformation and workplace modernization engagements. • Consulting and customer-facing project delivery environments. • Migration programs utilizing: o Quest On Demand Migration (ODM) o BitTitan MigrationWiz o ShareGate o Microsoft Native Migration Tools • Microsoft Teams Voice and Telephony projects, including: o Microsoft Teams Phone o Direct Routing o Operator Connect o PSTN migration and number porting o Session Border Controller (SBC) integration o Legacy PBX migration to Microsoft Teams Qualifications & Skills • 5–8 years of project management experience in enterprise IT, cloud, or consulting environments. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. • Master’s degree is an advantage but not mandatory. • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification preferred. • Strong understanding of: o Microsoft 365 o Exchange Online o Microsoft Teams o SharePoint Online o OneDrive for Business o Entra ID / Active Directory o Intune o Microsoft Security technologies o Azure infrastructure and cloud services • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and geographically distributed teams. • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills. • Excellent analytical, planning, risk management, and decision-making capabilities. • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft Project, Planner, and project reporting tools. Technical Knowledge • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 migration and coexistence strategies. • Familiarity with: o Quest On Demand Migration (ODM) o BitTitan MigrationWiz o ShareGate o Microsoft Native Migration Tools • Understanding of migration workloads: o Exchange Online o SharePoint Online o OneDrive o Microsoft Teams o Entra ID / Active Directory o Intune o Power Platform • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Voice architecture, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, SBCs, and telephony migration methodologies. • Understanding of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), governance, security, compliance, and best practices. Preferred / Value-Added Skills • Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled workplace transformation initiatives. • Understanding of Microsoft Security solutions and governance frameworks. • Experience with enterprise change management and user adoption programs. • Exposure to large-scale global migration programs and multi-country deployments. • Experience coordinating technical, business, compliance, and change management workstreams within complex transformation projects.
