Description
TEKsystems' client is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support their Corporate Procurement organization. This individual will play a key role in the companies initiative to centralize and modernize contract management processes while helping manage an increasing volume of procurement-related agreements.
The ideal candidate will be able to independently review, redline, negotiate, and manage complex vendor contracts with minimal oversight from leadership or legal counsel. This person should possess strong business acumen, contract negotiation expertise, and the ability to effectively partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Top Priorities
- Independently review, redline, and negotiate vendor agreements
- Manage contracts across multiple procurement categories
- Work directly with vendors and their legal teams
- Reduce contract review backlog and improve contract throughput
- Support the organization's contracting modernization initiative
- Operate with minimal day-to-day direction from management and legal

- Maintenance and Service Agreements
- General Vendor and Supplier Contracts
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, redline, and negotiate contract terms and conditions
- Partner with procurement, legal, finance, and business stakeholders
- Draft and execute contract amendments, renewals, and change orders
- Support RFI, RFQ, RFP, and SOW development activities
- Identify contractual risks and recommend appropriate language revisions
- Ensure agreements align with organizational standards and policies
- Manage the full contract lifecycle from intake through execution
- Participate in vendor selection, negotiation, and onboarding processes
- Maintain accurate contract records and reporting within contract management systems
- Resolve contract-related issues and escalate legal concerns appropriately
- Support vendor governance and compliance initiatives

Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of contract management, contract negotiation, procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management experience
- Experience independently negotiating commercial agreements and contract language
- Ability to review and redline contracts without extensive legal support
- Strong understanding of contract terminology, risk mitigation, and contract lifecycle management
- Experience negotiating directly with vendors and counsel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within healthcare, higher education, technology, or complex enterprise environments
- Juris Doctor (JD) preferred but not required
- Strategic sourcing or procurement
- Experience supporting cross-functional stakeholder groups
- Experience negotiating technology, software, consulting, or equipment agreements

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
