Who We Are
Healthcare quality is complex. Medisolv helps make it manageable — and actionable.
We partner with hospitals, health systems, ACOs, and payers to bring clarity to quality data, connecting clinical and claims information into a single, reliable view. More than 1,800 organizations and 130M+ patient records rely on Medisolv to measure, report, and improve performance across 500+ measures tied to CMS, The Joint Commission, and other programs.
With support from Bessemer Venture Partners Forge, we're continuing to grow our platform and expand our impact — investing in advanced analytics, AI, and new capabilities that help healthcare organizations stay ahead of change and improve outcomes with confidence.
Reporting to Chief Technology Officer, we are looking for an experienced Sr. Director, Platform Engineering to join our team.
About the Role
We are seeking a strong, hands-on engineering leader who has navigated the challenges of a fast-growing company — keeping production reliable, supporting the product roadmap, and modernizing the platform all at once.
This leader will coach and grow the Platform Engineering team, delegate effectively, and stay close enough to the technology to guide decisions and help solve complex problems. They will tackle technical debt, drive platform innovation, and build the practices that help Medisolv scale. The ideal candidate communicates clearly with executive leadership and actively participates in architecture reviews across the technology stack to ensure things are built the right way.
What You'll Do
Platform Strategy & Leadership
• Define and execute Medisolv's platform engineering strategy, roadmap, and operating model
• Lead and develop a high-performing Platform Engineering team responsible for cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, developer tooling, and operational excellence
• Serve as a trusted technical leader and advisor to senior leadership on platform, infrastructure, and operational strategy
Cloud Infrastructure & Reliability
• Own the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of Medisolv's Azure-based platform
• Oversee Azure networking, cloud governance, security, and compliance initiatives
• Lead monitoring, observability, incident response, capacity planning, and operational readiness programs
Engineering Practices & Automation
• Drive standardization, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices across engineering teams
• Establish and mature CI/CD, GitOps, Platform Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to improve developer productivity and service reliability
Data Platform Support
• Support and optimize enterprise data platforms, including Databricks and Spark-based workloads
Cross-Functional Partnership
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Data Engineering, and Product leaders to support business and technology priorities
Cost & Performance Management
• Drive cloud cost optimization and FinOps initiatives
• Establish platform and reliability metrics, operational KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs
What You'll Accomplish — Your Performance Objectives
In your first 30 days, you will:
Onboard and get to know the people, platform, and technology stack. Build foundational knowledge of Medisolv's Azure infrastructure, AKS environment, CI/CD pipelines, and current reliability/operational posture. Begin meeting with Engineering, Security, Data Engineering, and Product leaders to understand priorities and pain points.
In your first 60 days, you will:
Begin shaping the platform engineering roadmap and operating model, with input from the team and cross-functional partners. Identify key areas of technical debt, reliability risk, or cost inefficiency, and start establishing baseline metrics, KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs.
In your first 90 days, you will:
Independently own the platform engineering strategy and team, actively driving initiatives across reliability, automation, cloud governance, and cost optimization — while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on platform and infrastructure decisions.
