Senior Director, Product Strategy and AI
Role Summary
Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Strada’s AI-powered employee and enterprise solutions, with a focus on conversational employee experiences, intelligent payroll and HR workflows, and agentic AI orchestration across platforms such as Workday and SAP.
Role Description
Partner across product, engineering, design, delivery, sales, and operations to identify high-value AI opportunities, set priorities, and bring scalable AI-enabled HR and payroll solutions to market. Lead innovation efforts spanning external-facing conversational UI for employee experiences and internal process redesign using agentic AI orchestration. Translate successful concepts into roadmap investments, ensuring solutions are human-centered, measurable, governed responsibly, and aligned to client and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the AI product vision, strategy, and roadmap for employee-facing and enterprise workflow solutions across Workday, SAP, as an enabling technology to improve service delivery and ongoing services.
- Shape external-facing conversational UI experiences that improve how employees interact with HR and payroll services, with a focus on usability, trust, resolution quality, and adoption.
- Lead process redesign initiatives using agentic AI orchestration to streamline multi-step workflows, improve handoffs, and increase operational efficiency across service delivery and support functions.
- Assess market trends, AI platform capabilities, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify differentiated growth opportunities and set priorities.
- Build business cases and investment recommendations that balance client value, feasibility, responsible AI practices, and commercial impact.
- Partner with product, engineering, design, data, delivery, and commercial teams to design scalable AI solutions, including human-in-the-loop controls, escalation paths, and model or agent governance.
- Lead co-design workshops, design sprints, and proof-of-concept initiatives with clients and internal teams to validate conversational AI, automation, and orchestration opportunities with clear business outcomes.
- Define success measures for AI initiatives, including experience quality, containment or completion rates, productivity gains, risk controls, and financial impact, and use insights to refine roadmap decisions.
- Support go-to-market strategy, messaging, and partner alignment for AI-enabled payroll and HR offerings, translating technical capabilities into business value for client-facing audiences.
- Help establish repeatable AI governance and operating practices that support safe experimentation, scalable deployment, observability, and continuous improvement.
- Success in this role will be measured through a combination of client adoption, operational efficiency gains, solution commercialization, revenue impact, and advancement of strategic AI initiatives
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, portfolio leadership, or digital transformation for enterprise cloud and AI-enabled solutions.
- Strong experience in Payroll and/or HR applications, with direct experience in Workday and/or SAP payroll ecosystems preferred.
- Proven ability to define AI product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and business cases tied to measurable business and client outcomes.
- Experience designing or scaling conversational AI, digital assistants, or employee-facing experiences, including understanding of conversational UX principles and trust-centered design.
- Experience leading process transformation or workflow redesign using automation, AI copilots, or agentic AI orchestration across multi-step enterprise processes.
- Knowledge of AI concepts such as large language models, retrieval-augmented experiences, prompt and interaction design, orchestration frameworks, human-in-the-loop controls, and responsible AI governance.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, design, delivery, operations, and commercial teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into clear business value narratives for executives, clients, and delivery teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
