Title: Sr. Data Engineer Duration: Full-time Permanent Location: Chicago, IL Currently Remote - Must be willing to come on-site at least 3 days a week after COVID Job Description: Our healthcare client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their new team. You will work within the data and the analytics team and partner with multiple businesses and internal engineering teams to build high-quality data pipelines. You will be responsible to integrate data from a variety of data sources utilizing cloud-based data structures (AWS) and determine/enhance existing data sources between internal and external stakeholders. Your day to day: • Develop efficient, high throughput data pipelines to push transactional data to the cloud • Deliver insights to the business to achieve their goals by solving complex data problems • Implement, develop, and optimize streaming, data lake, and analytics big data solutions • Create a culture of sharing, re-use, design for scale stability and operational efficiency of data and analytical solutions • Implement and recommend the best tools to ensure optimized data performance • Build computation frameworks to get analytical insights from cloud-based data stores • Define and implement the data life cycle per compliance requirements • Work with product managers and data scientists to understand the objectives of the data platform • Create data products for analytics and engineering team members to improve their productivity • Coach, consult, and advise professionals on data standards and practices Your qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. • Minimum of five (5) years of application development and implementation experience. • Experience with SQL, Big Data, ETL programming and development within • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio • Experience with cloud-based structures (AWS) All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
