Role:
Are you looking to break out of your corporate cubicle and make a difference in a high-growth startup? Do you believe finance can and should be a strategic driver of a company, and enjoy being the person who keeps the whole business running smoothly? Do you love process optimization and are keen to build, implement and own best-in-class finance and operations practices? If yes, then this role may be for you!

Moneythor is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Sr. Finance & Operations Manager, with professional accounting credentials, who will report into our Chief Operating Officer. This is a critical single contributor role that owns finance across our entities in Singapore, UAE, and Japan, along with payroll, HR administration and day-to-day operations for our global team. You will prepare the budget, forecasts and monthly reporting, providing accurate and timely numbers to help guide the leadership team. You will also be the go-to person for how things get done at Moneythor. This role is based in Singapore where Moneythor follows a hybrid work model that is a mix of remote and in-office work.

Responsibilities:

  • Billing, collections and revenue recognition (IFRS 15) across licence, usage-based and professional services fees
  • Accounts payable, payment runs, cash management and sales commissions
  • Design, implementation and monitoring of financial systems and controls globally

Budgeting, forecasting & reporting

  • Annual budget, monthly rolling forecast and budget vs. actual analysis
  • Monthly management accounts, ExCo pack and investor reporting
  • Financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and corporate transactions

Audit, tax & corporate secretarial

  • Ownership of the annual statutory audit and financial statements
  • Corporate tax and GST filings, coordinating with tax agents in each jurisdiction
  • Corporate secretarial and statutory compliance for all entities

Payroll, people & operations

  • Payroll across Singapore, the UAE and our Employer of Record (EOR) countries
  • HR administration, including onboarding, policy and benefits questions, UAE visas and medical insurance
  • Keep the business running day to day, from travel and our annual summit to office and vendor management
  • Process improvement and system implementation, including Salesforce administration

About you:

  • At least 7 years work experience in accountancy or related field
  • 'Big 4' experience highly preferred
  • CPA/CA/ACCA professional qualification is a must
  • Additional in-house finance or accounting experience is an asset
  • Sound knowledge of financial accounting standards (SFRS(I)/IFRS, particularly IFRS 15), taxation, and relevant statutory requirements
  • Multi-entity, multi-currency experience across more than one jurisdiction
  • Hands-on experience with Singapore statutory compliance (ACRA, IRAS, CPF)
  • Experience running payroll and HR administration, ideally across more than one country
  • Is flexible and can multi-task in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Enjoys the variety of a role that spans finance, people and operations
