About us

Our founder, Lena Bryant didn't set out to change fashion forever, but that's exactly what she did. 120 years later, Lane Bryant remains the iconic plus-size brand. Empowering women is kind of our thing. Our inclusive community of customers and associates champions the acceptance of all sizes, shapes, and people. If you believe in the power of clothes to create confidence and empower self-expression, you'll be at home here.

About the role

At Lane Bryant, we are committed to creating a welcoming, inspiring, and empowering experience for our customers, and Finance plays an important role in helping the business make smart, strategic decisions that support that mission. The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis, will be a key finance partner supporting Lane Bryant’s Home Office and Share Service functions. This role will help turn financial data into meaningful insights, partner with cross-functional leaders to understand business performance, and provide recommendations that support profitable growth, disciplined investment, and strong execution across the brand.

The impact you can have

  • Lead seasonal budget, monthly forecast, and long-range planning support for Lane Bryant Other Margin, Home Office expense, and OpEx costs, with a clear understanding of the business drivers, risks, and opportunities that impact results.
  • Deliver thoughtful monthly financial analysis that connects results to business activity, highlights key trends, and helps leaders make informed decisions that improve forecast accuracy, expense discipline, and profitability.
  • Partner with business owners during monthly P&L reviews to explain variances, identify what is changing in the business, and build clear, leadership-ready narratives around performance and next steps.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Merchandising, Operations, Shared Services, and other business partners to understand key initiatives, connect financial impacts to business decisions, and ensure teams are aligned around priorities, risks, and opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to Home Office and Shared Service leaders by supporting investment decisions, evaluating initiative performance, and helping identify opportunities to spend smarter and improve return on investment.
  • Manage the weekly risks and opportunities process by partnering with business leaders to identify, size, and communicate material changes to the forecast, while evaluating investment requests to ensure they are appropriate, financially sound, and aligned to driving the business.
  • Build and maintain financial models, scenario analyses, and reporting tools that create visibility to key drivers and help the team anticipate risks, opportunities, and potential outcomes.
  • Create clear, concise reporting and presentations that translate financial results into insights and recommendations for Finance and business leadership.
  • Support the creation of MBR, Board of Directors, and Budget presentations by developing clear financial storytelling, connecting results to business drivers, and helping translate performance into leadership-ready insights and recommendations.
  • Look for ways to continuously improve planning, reporting, and analysis processes so the Finance team can work more efficiently and provide stronger support to our internal partners.

You’ll bring to the role

  • BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field, with 4-6 years of progressive FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance experience
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with the ability to build forecasts, scenario analyses, and reporting that help leaders understand business performance and make decisions
  • Ability to communicate financial information in a clear, practical, and actionable way to both finance and non-finance partners
  • Strong partnership mindset with the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and work effectively across Merchandising, Operations, Finance, and other cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of P&L structure, key financial drivers, variance analysis, and how to tell the story behind the numbers
  • Curious, proactive, and resourceful, with a desire to learn the business, ask thoughtful questions, and find better ways to support our teams and customers
  • High attention to detail, strong accountability, and the ability to deliver accurate, timely analysis while managing multiple priorities
  • Experience with Hyperion or similar planning and reporting systems preferred
  • Retail, specialty apparel, consumer goods, or multi-unit business experience preferred
