What's the role about? As a Sr. Full-Stack Engineer, you'll own and evolve BI integrations and semantic model converters. You’ll work at the intersection of third-party BI ecosystems and the company's query engine, building integrations for Excel, Google Sheets, and Looker, as well as converters that translate external semantic models into SML. This role involves solving complex cross-protocol challenges across MDX, DAX, and SQL, ensuring authentication, query accuracy, performance, and reliability across different data models. You’ll also investigate real customer issues, strengthen automated test coverage, and turn recurring problems into durable solutions. What do we require from you? +5 years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python. Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building and shipping production software, ideally involving client integrations, plugins, or SDKs. Proven working experience with SQL and exposure to analytical query languages and semantics such as MDX and DAX. Experience with authentication and session mechanisms, including OAuth and tokens. Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, including tools such as Jest and techniques for mocking requests and responses. Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools, with good judgment around when AI can accelerate development and when human review is required. Experience with semantic layers, OLAP, and BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos, including BI drivers and connector ecosystems is a nice to have.
