Position Summary:

The Senior Go-to-Market Manager is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for translating the Chervon Lowe's business strategy into an integrated, actionable, and executable commercial plan. This role leads promotional, merchandising, and product-launch planning and ensures alignment across Account Sales, Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Factory, and Lowe's stakeholders. The role manages the Promotional Planner and Merchandising Execution Specialist and establishes the timelines, accountability, budgets, and performance measures required for successful execution. This position translates approved brand, product, and marketing strategies into an integrated Lowe's customer plan and coordinates the resources required for execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Go-to-Market Strategy & Planning:

  • Create a rolling annual customer playbook (by quarter) to help communicate the strategy, investments, and expectations needed to deliver results.
  • Lead development of the annual Lowe's customer go-to-market plan and commercial calendar, translating approved brand, product, category, and account strategies into an executable customer plan.
  • Translate category, brand, product, and sales objectives into a cohesive and executable plan.
  • Partner with Account Leadership to align plans with Lowe's priorities, financial targets, market-share goals, and customer commitments.
  • Identify dependencies, resource requirements, execution risks, and timing conflicts; lead cross-functional readiness reviews and corrective actions.

Promotion & Investment Management:

  • Own development and coordination of the annual promotional plan.
  • Partner with Chervon Marketing, Lowe's Marketing, Lowe's Media Network, Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to establish objectives, timing, investment levels, and measurement plans.
  • Develop, manage, and track Lowe's-specific customer marketing investments, promotional funding, retail media investments, and merchandising budgets in partnership with Account Leadership, Brand Marketing, and Finance.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and ROI; recommend changes in timing, investment, or execution to improve business performance.

Product Launch & Commercialization:

  • Coordinate commercialization readiness for new products, line reviews, resets, assortment changes, and major promotional launches.
  • Develop integrated launch timelines covering item setup, forecasting, inventory, pricing, and the readiness and delivery of Marketing-owned content and creative assets, displays, merchandising, and customer communications.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Account Operations, and Sales to resolve launch gaps and escalate risks requiring leadership decisions.
  • Conduct post-launch reviews and incorporate lessons learned into future planning.

Merchandising & Retail Execution:

  • Provide customer and commercial direction for off-shelf merchandising, displays, resets, test sets, and other in-store programs supporting the Lowe's GTM plan, while partnering with Brand Marketing to ensure alignment with approved brand standards and creative direction.
  • Partner with the Merchandising Execution Specialist and third-party resources to move approved concepts through production, distribution, store instructions, and execution.
  • Ensure programs align with Lowe's requirements, store conditions, inventory availability, approved budgets, and execution timing.

Performance Measurement & Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Establish customer-level KPIs and standardized dashboards for major promotions, launches, retail media investments, and merchandising programs, while Brand Marketing retains ownership of brand and campaign-health measures.
  • Analyze sales results, promotional lift, execution performance, customer insights, and competitive activity to improve future plans.
  • Lead planning meetings, clarify ownership and decisions, communicate risks and trade-offs, and facilitate resolution of competing priorities.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Promotional Planner and Merchandising Execution Specialist.
  • Establish priorities, workload plans, performance expectations, development objectives, and standardized processes that promote accountability and execution excellence.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Merchandising, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Prior people-management or demonstrated team-leadership experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in go-to-market planning, customer or shopper marketing, retail merchandising, commercialization, category management, sales planning, or a related consumer-products role.
  • Experience supporting a major national retailer or complex omnichannel customer and developing annual commercial plans, product launches, and marketing or merchandising budgets.
  • Strong understanding of retail calendars, promotional planning, advertising, merchandising, commercialization, and in-store execution.
  • Strong analytical, financial, project-management, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. Lowe's systems and power tool, OPE, home improvement, or durable-goods experience are preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly manages the Promotional Planner and Merchandising Execution Specialist, including goals, priorities, coaching, development, workload, and performance management.

Work Environment & Travel:
