Sr. Ground Software Engineer

As a Sr. Ground Software Engineer, you will work directly with the Turion team in the planning, development, and implementation of Turion Space ground systems . You will design and architect mission-critical applications that are used throughout Turion Space. Your experience, creativity, and ambition will directly impact the way Turion Space operates as it continues to grow in scale and complexity. Responsibilities Own all aspects of the software engineering and product development Actively interface with users to learn their problems and create efficient solutions Bring your voice to the table in team collaborations on architecture, design, and code reviews Create new applications that improve how Turion Space operates Work closely with subsystem teams and external customers to continually improve software tools and data products Design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver large-scale ground software and mission control systems, including operator GUI’s and automation tools Assist in leading the ground software teams Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: BS in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field 6+ years of software development experience Experience in full-stack development Demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test software from scratch Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance Preferred Skills and Experience: Programming experience in Go, Python, or Javascript Experience designing and building micro-services and distributed systems Experience with Kubernetes Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Batch, Lambda) Experience with Jira or other defect-tracking software Experience building complex systems that have been successfully delivered to customers Experience with data engineering and managing large-scale data pipelines ITAR Requirements: This position may include access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls.
