Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Körber WMS Developer to lead the technical design, development, and optimization of our Warehouse Management System. In this role, you will act as the primary technical subject matter expert for the Körber Supply Chain (formerly HighJump) platform. You will be responsible for translating complex supply chain and distribution center requirements into scalable system architectures, developing custom workflows, and ensuring seamless integration with enterprise ERPs and material handling equipment (MHE).
Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Development: Architect and develop custom workflows, screens, and business logic using Körber’s Advantage Architect, Webwise Page Editor, and Advantage Link.
-
System Integration: Design and implement robust integrations between the Körber WMS and enterprise systems (ERP, OMS, TMS) using REST/SOAP APIs, EDI, and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi).
-
Database Engineering: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers (SQL Server or Oracle) to support WMS reporting, data migration, and transaction processing.
-
MHE & Automation Integration: Develop and maintain interfaces with Material Handling Equipment (MHE), such as conveyors, sorters, and AS/RS systems, ensuring high-throughput warehouse automation.
-
Performance Optimization: Proactively monitor WMS performance, identify bottlenecks, and tune system configurations and database queries to support high-volume distribution environments.
-
Mentorship & Leadership: Conduct code reviews, establish WMS development best practices, and mentor junior developers and support analysts.
-
Production Support: Act as the Tier 3 technical escalation point for critical WMS production issues, participating in on-call rotations during peak seasons or major go-lives.
Required Qualifications
-
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on technical development experience with the Körber Supply Chain WMS platform (formerly HighJump Webwise / Advantage Architect).
-
Database Proficiency: Advanced expertise in writing complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, and performance tuning within Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle environments.
-
Integration Skills: Proven experience building API-based integrations (REST/JSON, SOAP/XML) and working with standard supply chain EDI documents (850, 856, 940, 945).
-
Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, putaway, wave planning, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
-
SDLC & Tools: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Git version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience migrating legacy HighJump systems to the modern Körber One platform or Körber Cloud.
-
Background in Object-Oriented Programming (C# or Java) for custom extension development.
-
Prior experience integrating Körber WMS with SAP, Oracle ERP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
-
Understanding of SSRS, Crystal Reports, or Power BI for customized operational reporting.
