Meet the team: To foster growth and innovation at Dexcom, this individual will support a broad range of privacy and data security activities within Dexcom’s Global Privacy team sitting within its Legal Department. Reporting directly to Dexcom’s Chief Privacy Officer, this role will particularly focus on supporting work to respond to EU digital regulations like General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and AI Act. This role will also support other activities of the Global Privacy team, which include negotiating data protection terms, fulfilling data subject rights requests, and conducting privacy impact assessments. As a key team member, this individual must be a highly motivated self-starter, who is comfortable collaborating as part of a team, communicating directly with senior leaders, and working independently. Where you come in: • Work with Procurement and Legal on vetting and auditing vendors for compliance with the privacy and data security policies and legal requirements. • Support Dexcom’s submissions in competitive EU tenders for the sale of its products and services • Manage the process for addressing complaints and requests from data subjects with respect to the enforcement of their rights under applicable laws. • Provide advice on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) • Manage the relationship with the appropriate regulating bodies to ensure that programs, policies and procedures are consistent with law and regulations. • Liaise with Dexcom’s Data Protection Officer for purposes of GDPR and other similar legal compliance requirements. What makes you successful: • 5+ years of privacy and data protection experience at a law firm or in-house, preferably in regulated industries (life sciences, healthcare, or technology). • Knowledge of European privacy laws regulations and best practices. • Proven track record of project and process development, implementation and project management. • CIPP and/or other data privacy certifications is preferred. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and high-volume practice, prioritize competing demands, and problem solve creatively. Travel Required: • 0-5% Experience and Education Requirements: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 – 8 years of related experience. Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option. The annualised base salary for this position is from €52,360.00 to €67,760.00 gross. Final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
