This position is based at our corporate office in Phoenix, AZ, and follows a hybrid work schedule. Remote work is not available for this role. Candidates must reside within commuting distance, as relocation assistance is not provided. Overview:

The Senior Logistics Analyst is responsible for providing strategic leadership and analytical expertise to optimize inbound transportation operations, carrier performance, and freight spend. This role serves as a key business partner across Supply Chain, Distribution, Manufacturing, Merchandising, Ecommerce, Finance, and external transportation providers to develop and implement logistics strategies that improve service levels, drive cost savings, and support company growth.

The Senior Logistics Analyst leads the development, maintenance, and governance of transportation dashboards, forecasting models, and carrier performance metrics, while proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and network optimization. This role manages complex transportation projects, delivers executive-level reporting and insights, and provides recommendations that influence business decisions across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of transportation dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and reporting tools that provide actionable insights into service, cost, and operational performance.
  • Analyze transportation and freight data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering strategic recommendations that drive measurable cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop carrier forecasting models, volume projections, and budget analyses to support transportation planning and financial objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate carrier performance through performance metrics, service-level agreements (SLAs), and cost analysis, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on supply chain optimization, freight management, transportation efficiency, and network improvements.
  • Manage day-to-day transportation operations, including oversight of domestic and international freight activities, issue resolution, and exception management.
  • Partner with Distribution, Manufacturing, Merchandising, Buying, Ecommerce, and Finance teams to develop scalable transportation strategies and best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers, leading business reviews, performance discussions, and contract-related initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process automation opportunities that improve data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
  • Create and deliver executive-level presentations, reports, and business recommendations for senior leadership, including the VP and Supply Chain leadership team.
  • Lead special projects related to freight optimization, transportation system enhancements, network design, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to analysts and team members by sharing best practices, analytical techniques, and industry knowledge.
  • Support transportation billing, freight audits, GL coding, and financial reconciliation processes as needed.
      • Serve as the transportation subject matter expert during system implementations, new carrier integrations, and logistics process improvements

        Qualifications:

        • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required.
        • 5-7+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or a related analytical role.
        • Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving transportation or supply chain process improvements preferred.
        • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, Power BI, SQL, or advanced analytics tools preferred.
        • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
        • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and strategic initiatives simultaneously.
        • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience presenting to senior leadership.
        • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Power BI, and other reporting or analytics tools.
        • Advanced experience with data modeling, forecasting, dashboard development, and process automation.
        • Knowledge of transportation contracts, carrier negotiations, vendor compliance programs, and freight cost management.
        • Ability to work independently, lead initiatives, and drive continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced environment.
