As the owner of critical commercial and medical platforms, the Sr. Manager will drive the strategy, performance, and evolution of Veeva Vault CRM, Veeva Vault MedComms, and Veeva Vault PromoMats. In this highly visible role, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders and external technology vendors to deliver scalable, end-to-end solutions that enable business success. Combining business partnership, platform expertise, and product ownership, you will lead the full solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation, optimization, and ongoing support. This role offers the opportunity to shape how teams leverage technology, drive operational excellence, and enhance key commercial and medical capabilities across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technology partner and point of contact for Commercial and Medical stakeholders for platform feedback, enhancement requests and evolving capability needs
- Develop a strong understanding of business priorities, field, MLR and medical workflows, promotional and medical content processes, compliance requirements, and launch needs
- Translate business objectives and functional requirements into design options and technical requirements, delivery plans, test cases and reportable outcomes
- Partner with IT Business Partners, technical teams, and business process owners to ensure alignment on demand, priorities, dependencies and resources
- Own the technology strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, and operational success of Veeva Vault CRM, Vault MedComms, and Vault PromoMats
- Serve as the primary IT subject matter expert and escalation point for the supported Veeva platforms and the associated integrations and content workflows
- Lead implementations, enhancements, integrations, remediation efforts, releases, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Commercial Veeva portfolio
- Operate with a high degree of independence and judgment, making day-to-day platform, technical, delivery, and operational decisions within established strategy and governance
- Provide hands-on administration and oversight across Vault CRM, MedComms, and PromoMats, including user access, security roles, groups, workflows, lifecycles, document types, fields, notifications, and configuration settings, as applicable
- Provide oversight into and work closely with Veeva Managed service vendors on a daily basis to ensure technical support is provided in a timely manner
- Lead intake, triage, prioritization, and delivery of requests across the three platforms
- Oversee environment management, sandbox coordination, test-account readiness, release preparation, production deployment, and post-deployment support
- Maintain operational procedures, knowledge articles, work instructions to reduce single-person dependency
- Document functional and technical requirements, data flows, integration needs, reporting requirements, and UAT criteria
- Own day-to-day relationships with vendors and managed-service partners supporting Vault CRM, MedComms, and PromoMats
- Lead weekly vendor meetings and monitor vendor performance against commitments, service levels, quality expectations, budgets, and milestones
- Other duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- 7+ years of progressively responsible experience administering and configuring Veeva platforms, including security, roles, groups, workflows, lifecycles, document taxonomy, object configuration, reporting, user management, and release impact assessments, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Current Veeva certification in at least one relevant area (e.g., Vault Administrator, Vault CRM, Commercial Content, or MedComms) with demonstrated hands-on platform expertise
- Experience working in regulated GxP environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think strategically, navigate ambiguity, and make sound technical recommendations based on incomplete information
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence management-level audiences, collaborate across business and technology functions, and translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, maintain attention to detail, and deliver high-quality results with a sense of urgency
- Advanced Excel modeling and statistical analysis skills, along with proficiency in PowerPoint
- Collaborative, adaptable, and change-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and continuously improve processes and solutions
- Strong business partnership and negotiation skills, with demonstrated emotional intelligence and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization and with external vendors
