At PMI U.S., we are building a modern nicotine business—focused on helping make a future without cigarettes a reality in America. As the U.S. businesses of Philip Morris International, we are investing in new products, science, and capabilities to provide the approximately 25 million legal‑age adults who still smoke with better alternatives.

Our approach is rooted in innovation, responsible marketing, and a growing U.S. footprint that spans manufacturing, technology, and commercial operations across the country.

That creates real opportunity. You’ll have the space to take ownership, develop new ideas, and contribute to work that is shaping our business and the category. We’re looking for people who are curious, collaborative, and motivated by progress—because the scale of what we’re building creates room to grow in different directions.

 About the Role

The Senior Manager Procurement Finance serves as the strategic finance partner to Procurement, driving financial governance, cost optimization, and value creation across the organization's procurement activities. This role is responsible for providing financial leadership on sourcing initiatives, vendor performance management, category strategies, and budget planning to ensure alignment with business objectives and financial targets.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of finance, procurement, and analytical expertise to influence decision-making, identify savings opportunities, and strengthen financial controls. This leader will work cross-functionally with Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, FP&A, and business stakeholders to enhance procurement effectiveness while delivering measurable value to the business.

Your 'day to day':

  • Serve as the primary finance business partner to Procurement, providing financial guidance and strategic support across sourcing and category management activities.
  • Lead sourcing and negotiation support through cost analysis, business case development, and financial evaluation of supplier proposals.
  • Drive annual procurement budget planning, forecasting, and performance management processes.
  • Develop and maintain robust spend analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities and measure procurement performance.
  • Track procurement savings initiatives and validate financial benefits against approved business cases and category baselines.
  • Monitor vendor compliance, contractual obligations, and financial performance to mitigate risk and maximize value.
  • Partner with Procurement leadership to establish governance frameworks, financial controls, and reporting standards.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership through financial modeling, reporting, and performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure procurement strategies align with broader business and financial objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement processes, reporting capabilities, and cost management outcomes.

  • Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and business case development capabilities.
  • Experience conducting spend analysis and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiencies.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to partner effectively across functions and levels of leadership.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

What's nice to have?
