Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Products leads the global Edge, I/O and Gateways portfolio, defining the strategy that connects industrial assets, control systems and enterprise applications. The role translates deep industrial automation expertise and customer insight into differentiated hardware, software and lifecycle choices, and drives cross-functional execution from portfolio concept through commercial scale.

This is a global portfolio leadership role with responsibility for the overall Edge strategy and roadmap across industrial I/O, gateways and edge-computing platforms. The role sets investment and lifecycle priorities, shapes capability requirements, and manages and influences the evolution of next-generation modular I/O, secure connectivity, data acquisition, protocol conversion, device management and edge-processing solutions.

This role will be remote with travel in the US.

You will make a difference in the following ways:

  • Portfolio strategy & investment: Create and own the multi-year strategy for Edge, I/O and Gateways; define where to play, required capabilities, platform choices, roadmap priorities and investment trade-offs across hardware, software and services.
  • Customer & market leadership: Lead structured discovery, segmentation, competitive intelligence, and opportunity assessment; convert insight into differentiated offers, business cases, and portfolio direction.
  • Commercial & lifecycle ownership: Own or materially influence revenue, margin, pricing/value, adoption, and lifecycle outcomes; lead corrective actions and portfolio-vitality decisions based on business performance.
  • Cross-functional leadership & influence: Lead complex alignment across R&D, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Pricing; resolve trade-offs and influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Data & investment decisions: Develop and challenge business cases, KPIs, and investment recommendations; use data and financial insight to focus resources on the highest-value opportunities.
  • Capability & scalability: Coach less-experienced Product Managers and champion disciplined prioritization, process improvement, digital tools, and scalable ways of working across the portfolio.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation or a related technical field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Typically 8+ years of relevant product management, product strategy or technical business leadership experience, including ownership of a complex global industrial technology portfolio and ideally first leadership experience
  • Strong background in industrial automation, including practical knowledge of industrial I/O, PLC/DCS environments, OT protocols, gateways, edge computing, data acquisition, device connectivity and IT/OT integration.
  • Profound experience with product strategy, roadmap prioritization, customer discovery, pricing/value, lifecycle management, business cases, and financial/performance analysis.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex decisions across multiple functions and/or regions and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong strategic judgment, commercial acumen, communication, and product/domain expertise; effective through ambiguity and imperfect information.
  • Travel up to 30%
