WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Sr. Manager, Residual Value Risk is responsible for leading a team to manage residual value risk for HCA’s vehicle lease portfolio. This role oversees residual value setting and forecasting, portfolio performance monitoring, and management reporting to identify emerging risks and recommend actions to address exposure. The position provides direction and review of the team’s analytical work and partners with Modeling, Product, Remarketing, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and OEM teams to support informed business decisions, consistent reporting, and effective controls.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Residual Value Setting and Forecasting: Lead the residual value setting and forecasting process for HCA’s vehicle lease programs. Review the team’s recommendations, analytical assumptions, vendor benchmarks, and market research to support consistent, well-supported residual values. Partner with Modeling, Product, Remarketing, and OEM teams to enhance forecasting methods and present recommendations through the residual value committee process.
Residual Risk Analysis and Monitoring: Oversee analysis of lease portfolio residual exposure, loss performance, maturities, return rates, and forecast-to-actual results. Assess the impact of vehicle, industry, and economic trends, including differences across electric and non-electric vehicle segments. Identify emerging risks, direct further analysis, and recommend actions to address exposure in partnership with business stakeholders.
Management Reporting and Business Partnership: Manage delivery of residual risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, the Risk Control Committee, and OEM partners. Translate analytical findings into clear explanations of portfolio performance, market outlook, and recommended actions. Coordinate the team’s analytical support for Finance, Accounting, and Treasury, including OEM risk-sharing analyses, supplemental depreciation, and ABS reporting.
Process Improvement and Controls: Oversee the quality and consistency of residual value data, reporting, and supporting documentation. Establish review practices for key team deliverables, maintain documentation supporting KSOX controls and audit requests, and resolve identified discrepancies with relevant stakeholders. Prioritize improvements to analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting processes to strengthen accuracy and efficiency.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop team members by setting priorities, assigning analytical and reporting responsibilities, reviewing deliverables, and providing coaching and performance feedback. Coordinate workloads and build team capabilities to support timely, accurate work and effective collaboration with business partners.
