POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Technology Business Management serves as IT’s internal lead for technology financial management, contract administration, vendor governance, licensing, forecasting, and portfolio economics. Working in partnership with Finance, Supply Chain, and Legal, the role coordinates IT requirements, analysis, and decision support. This position helps ensure technology investments deliver measurable value, financial commitments are transparent, and enterprise scale is leveraged while respecting the needs of individual ambulatory surgery centers. This is an experienced, hands-on leadership role.

Work Schedule: Remote

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • IT Financial Planning and Management: Coordinate IT inputs to the annual operating and capital planning processes, monthly forecasts, variance analysis, accrual support, and executive reporting in partnership with Finance. Maintain consolidated IT management visibility into planned, committed, and actual technology spend by category, vendor, initiative, and center where practical. Develop ROI, TCO, business case, staffing, and cost-optimization models to advise IT leaders on investment tradeoffs. Establish actionable IT financial dashboards and a regular operating review cadence.
  • Technology Contract Management: Maintain the IT contract inventory, renewal calendar, and IT contract oversight processes and roadmap. Coordinate technology requirements, business-owner input, intake readiness, evaluation criteria, licensing analysis, and renewal decisions in partnership with Supply Chain and Legal. Support Supply Chain-led sourcing and commercial negotiations and Legal-led review and approval of contract terms, amendments, renewals, and exits. Analyze SaaS agreements, service levels, statements of work, pricing, licensing models, termination provisions, and renewal protections from an IT operational and commercial perspective. Proactively flag auto-renewal risks, financial exposure, performance concerns, and consolidation opportunities for action by the appropriate accountable function.
  • Vendor Management: Establish IT vendor segmentation, governance, scorecards, and business reviews for strategic technology suppliers. Track service performance, technology risks, and fulfillment of operational and commercial commitments with accountable technical service owners. Provide technology demand, performance data, and rationalization recommendations to support Supply Chain’s sourcing strategy, negotiations, and enterprise purchasing leverage. Coordinate with Cybersecurity, Compliance, Supply Chain, and Legal so third-party due diligence and risk decisions are completed.
  • Technology Value and Optimization: Analyze software utilization, overlapping applications, subscriptions, cloud services, and managed services. Quantify and track potential cost savings and cost avoidance, subject to validation through established Finance processes. Support an approved technology marketplace and application portfolio that balances center choice with enterprise supportability and commercial leverage. Develop enterprise- and center-level technology cost benchmarks and recommend transparent allocation approaches in partnership with Finance, which retains approval of accounting treatment and allocation methodology.
  • Portfolio, Acquisition, and Governance Support: Support IT portfolio investment decisions, demand governance, and financial prioritization. Develop technology cost estimates and identify IT contractual, licensing, vendor, and implementation considerations for acquisitions and new centers, coordinating with Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, Cybersecurity, Compliance, and other accountable functions as required. Build scalable IT controls and automation without unnecessary bureaucracy. Advise the CIO and business leaders on technology-related financial and commercial risks, commitments, and opportunities, with final decisions and approvals remaining with the designated enterprise authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in both enterprise IT budgeting and forecasting and technology contract and vendor management.
