Sr. Network Engineer

TEKsystems is expanding it's Network Engineering team to keep up with strategic goals as well as the growth of the company.They are seeking to add a senior Network Engineer to their team to help with designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure for both corporate and OT technology within their manufacturing environment. They are looking for someone with very strong networking experience specifically in Cisco technologies. They are looking to bring this person on via contract to hire and have them as an FTE by middle of next year.

The company is experiencing alot of growth right now thru the merger and is currently standing up a new manufacturing opp in Lake Orion, MI that needs to be built out in addition to implementing SD WAN to better manage the networks around their various locations. They currently have manufacturing in Detroit, MI ; Datacenter in Southfield ; manufacturing in Highland Park ; corporate office in Auburn Hills, MI + the location they are standing up in Lake Orion.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- TEKsystems is a full Cisco shop and this person needs to be strong with Cisco Firewalls (ASA & Firepower) and be able to configure as well as apply policies & rules.

- They use Cisco Wireless LAN controllers that engineers are responsible for VLAN segmentation, QoS, and access controls.

- Cisco Meraki - need to be comfortable designing, deploying, and managing the environments including the MX secruity appliances, MS switches, nad MR access points using the Meraki dashboard.

- CCNA / CCNP / CMNA / ECMS preferred

- Any additional experience across a manufacturing or automotive organization is very beneficial.

HYBRID ROLE:

- This role will start off as 4 days on site, 1 day remote for the first several weeks, however when they go in it could be to either Auburn Hills, MI or the manufacturing location in Detroit.

- This will become more flexible over time, however the first 4-6 weeks they want to have them onsite to get more ingrained in operations and how things work

- Additionally - once they are in the swing of things - they may need to spend their on site days at Lake Orion occasionally during the stand up of the facility.

- Eventually it'd be fair to expect 2-3 days on site the rest remotely.

Overall network team is still being bridged thru the merger, but the group as a whole is 5 people overall with a manager over the group. They have Sr. Engineer or Architect level team members exclusively on this team. This person will function as a heavy individual contributor, but will get exposure to take part in the design and architecture as they grow with the company.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southfield, MI.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
