Essential Job Duties

BambooHR is on a mission to set people free to do great work. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own our global employment partnership end to end — the embedded relationship that lets a BambooHR customer onboard, employ, and pay people anywhere.

Companies want to hire the best person for the job, wherever they live. Doing that on their own means setting up a legal entity, finding a local payroll provider, and keeping up with employment law country by country. Through this partnership, BambooHR can help be the legal employer, handle payments for employees and contractors alike, and keep it all compliant, inside the HR system they already use. You'll own the strategy and roadmap for how the embedded experience evolves, and you'll own the business behind it: adoption, growth, and how it performs.

If you're an experienced Senior Product Manager who wants to run a partnership and who is excited about turning the complexity of managing a global workforce into something a customer never has to think about, we'd like to talk to you.

You will:

• Own the partner relationship and the integration at the product level: what they provide, what we build, where the data boundary sits, and how we protect the customer when either side breaks. Product decisions between the two companies are yours.
• Own the whole customer journey, from the first question about hiring somewhere new through setup and the ongoing work of managing those people. For each part, you decide whether it happens in BambooHR, happens with the partner, or goes away.
• Know this space better than anyone else at BambooHR: customers, CX, and Sales every week, our partner’s product team just as often. Turn that into a strategy your engineers, your stakeholders, and the exec team can each say back to you.
• Prioritize ruthlessly against that strategy. Find the smallest version that’s still worth a customer’s time, and ship in small, frequent releases so customers can use something early.
• Start every customer problem with “what if it was magic?” A hire in a new country that takes minutes instead of weeks. An agent that answers the compliance question before the customer thinks to ask it. Then work backward to what we can ship this quarter.
• Get comfortable in the plumbing. This product touches employment law, payroll, multi-currency, statutory time off, benefits, and tax treatment, and your engineers need all of it from you in a form they can build from.
• Measure whether your solutions worked, quantitatively and qualitatively, and change course when they didn’t. Know your adoption, time-to-first-hire, retention, and revenue numbers without looking them up.
• Lead a trio of dedicated, smart people to their career best, and own the quality of what you ship together. World-class software in every release.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

• You feel aligned with the BambooHR values.
• 4+ years experience as a product manager, with a proven track record of shipping impactful products.
• Experience as a product manager in at least one of the following industries: HR, Payroll, Compliance, or Fintech. Experience with Employer of Record or Contractor Management products is a plus.
• Experience with embedded products, APIs, integrations, platforms, or partner-led ecosystems.
• You take responsibility for how your product trio works together, and you resolve friction early and directly.
• You can clearly communicate product decisions and the rationale behind them. You’re comfortable making decisions without consensus. You can help others make decisions by being persuasive.
• You have deep experience working with qualitative customer insights, and quantitative customer data to inform decisions.
• You’re entrepreneurial; you don’t need direction; you're self-driven.
• You’re organized, deliberate, and intentional.
• You’re able to switch between thinking creatively and analytically easily.
• You’ve owned a product line as a business, including its economics, its growth plan, and the targets that come with it. You can make the case for investment and defend it to leadership.
• You’ve shipped or tested AI-native solutions, such as agents, for customers.
• You’ve rebuilt how you work around AI instead of adding AI to your old process. You can show where it made you faster or better, and where you chose your own judgment over.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m MST.
