About the Role
EMPLOYERS is a workers' compensation carrier building digital products for policyholders, agents, injured workers, and healthcare providers. As a Senior Product Manager, you will partner with cross-functional teams and product leadership to define the vision, shape the roadmap, and guide products from launch through continuous improvement. You'll make the business case before we invest and show leadership the results after. You'll partner with Engineering, Design, Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Compliance, Marketing, Operations, and Legal.
What You'll Do

- Own the product lifecycle for internal and external customers, including go-to-market and post-launch performance.
- Gather and use customer feedback (interviews, surveys, focus groups, usability testing, analytics) to shape priorities.
- Write epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Facilitate backlog refinement and sprint planning, and secure stakeholder sign-off.
- Partner with cross-functional product team with clear goals and a collaborative culture.
- Support the management of third-party vendors and technology partners that enable product initiatives.
- Launch regular product performance reporting. Share status, risks, and outcomes with leadership against OKRs.
- Spot risks and opportunities in the data and make recommendations.
- Build training materials and assist with documenting current and future-state workflows.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- 5+ years in digital product management for products used by internal and external customers
- 5+ years leading Agile/Scrum teams
- Full-lifecycle ownership of a product: vision, roadmap, OKRs, go-to-market, post-launch tracking
- Validated business cases and set OKRs before major investment
- Product management in workers' comp, insurance, insurtech, or fintech. Workers' comp domain knowledge (policy admin, claims, underwriting, premium audit) strongly preferred.
- Clear communication with executives and cross-functional partners, tailored to each audience
- Ability to explain a product failure and what you'd do differently, with real metrics
- Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Lucid, and MS Office
- Bachelor's degree in business, design, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred
- Experience mentoring or coaching Product Managers or Associate PMs
- Scrum Master or Product Owner certification
- Experience with UX/UI and design thinking
Certification
- Certification as a scrum master and/or product owner preferred.
