JOB SUMMARY

The Sr Product Manager - Publisher Integrations & Validation is Clarvos's single-threaded owner for the publisher integration strategy, roadmap, partner relationships, technical delivery, certification, launch, and ongoing production health of every media-platform connection. The role owns integrations with walled-garden publishers, demand-side platforms, supply-side platforms, ad exchanges, retail media networks, social and search platforms, connected TV providers, mobile and in-app networks, and other activation and measurement partners.

This is a deeply hands-on technical product role for a demonstrated subject-matter expert who has personally led complex advertising integrations from initial partner engagement and API discovery through account configuration, implementation, testing, platform approval, launch, training, support, and lifecycle management. The candidate must be able to read API specifications, inspect requests and responses, test endpoints, diagnose failures, understand advertising account hierarchies and permissions, and translate publisher requirements into executable product, engineering, operational, and customer-facing plans.

The role will represent Clarvos directly with publisher product, engineering, partnerships, policy, support, and commercial teams and will coordinate internally across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Campaign Operations, Data, Security, Privacy, Legal, Finance, Customer Success, Services, and Go-to-Market. Success requires technical depth, meticulous attention to detail, strong vendor judgment, operational discipline, and complete ownership of production outcomes across publishers with different APIs, account models, review processes, inventory types, and operating constraints.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the publisher integration strategy and roadmap, including partner selection, sequencing, customer demand, inventory value, technical feasibility, resource requirements, dependencies, launch timing, maintenance cost, and business impact.
  • Lead each integration end to end from partner qualification and API discovery through requirements, implementation, sandbox testing, publisher certification, production launch, adoption, support, and ongoing optimization.
  • Serve as Clarvos's accountable product, technical, and operational owner with publisher and platform partners; manage working cadences, roadmap alignment, technical workshops, launch dependencies, service expectations, escalations, and executive reviews.
  • Read and challenge API specifications and platform policies, then translate endpoints, schemas, authentication, permissions, rate limits, errors, versioning, and partner constraints into precise requirements, data mappings, workflows, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
  • Define and govern Clarvos's multi-tenant advertising account architecture, including manager and business accounts, child advertiser accounts, users, roles, permissions, asset sharing, credentials, token management, billing profiles, currencies, time zones, customer isolation, and offboarding.
  • Own developer-app registration, business verification, access tiers, platform and app review, permission and scope approval, production credentials, quotas, rate-limit increases, compliance attestations, and renewals for each walled-garden publisher.
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture to build reusable integration services and canonical models for accounts, campaigns, ad groups, audiences, creatives, budgets, bids, targeting, pixels, conversions, optimization, reporting, billing, and lifecycle states.
  • Define and execute integration test and certification plans covering API contracts, payloads, account permissions, campaign creation and state changes, creative rendering, reporting accuracy, rate limits, error recovery, security, policy compliance, operational readiness, and rollback procedures.
  • Personally validate integrations using API clients, publisher consoles, logs, payload inspection, webhooks, data queries, and end-to-end campaign tests; independently verify production readiness rather than relying solely on Engineering or partner assurances.
  • Own production health and integration lifecycle management, including observability, data freshness, synchronization, API errors, authentication failures, publisher incidents, root-cause analysis, partner escalation, version migrations, breaking changes, and deprecations.
  • Partner with Security, Privacy, and Legal on credentials, access controls, consent, data minimization, retention, auditability, platform policies, and applicable advertising and privacy requirements.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations on spend reconciliation, billing and delivery data, fees, credits, currencies, invoices, and discrepancies between Clarvos and publisher reporting.
  • Create publisher playbooks, account-setup guides, troubleshooting procedures, support runbooks, escalation paths, and role-based training; lead readiness reviews so internal teams can operate and support each integration effectively.
  • Maintain the authoritative capability matrix for objectives, buying types, formats, placements, targeting, audiences, creative requirements, measurement, attribution, reporting, optimization, billing, geographic availability, account prerequisites, and known gaps.
  • Define integration KPIs and communicate roadmap priorities, tradeoffs, technical constraints, partner risks, launch status, adoption, incidents, capability coverage, and business outcomes to the Chief Product Officer and cross-functional stakeholders.

SUCCESS MEASURES

  • On-time certification and production launch of prioritized publisher integrations against roadmap commitments, with all technical, account, policy, operational, and training requirements complete.
  • Reduction in time required to qualify, contract, configure, build, certify, launch, and operationalize a new publisher or media-platform integration.
  • Growth in addressable media inventory, channel coverage, campaign volume, and customer adoption enabled by new integrations.
  • Improvement in campaign creation, publishing, synchronization, and reporting success rates across integrated platforms.
  • Reduction in integration defects, permission and account-configuration failures, rejected campaigns, failed API calls, publisher escalations, manual workarounds, and customer-impacting incidents.
  • Accuracy and completeness of campaign, delivery, conversion, spend, billing, and performance data exchanged with partners.
  • Percentage of publisher capabilities supported through reusable platform services rather than one-off custom implementations.
  • Proactive completion of API migrations and deprecation work before production impact.
  • Improvement in integration observability, incident detection, root-cause resolution time, and operational readiness.
  • Delivery of measurable customer and business outcomes from expanded publisher coverage and reliable campaign execution.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7 or more years of product management or technical product experience, including substantial ownership of publisher, DSP, advertising-platform, API, or data integrations in AdTech or MarTech.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on ownership of multiple publisher or advertising-platform integrations from partner selection and API discovery through account setup, implementation, certification, production launch, training, support, and ongoing lifecycle management.
  • Direct experience working at a DSP, SSP, ad exchange, ad server, publisher technology company, retail media network, agency trading platform, or MarTech platform that directly executed and supported campaigns through publisher APIs.
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including advertisers, agencies, publishers, DSPs, SSPs, exchanges, ad servers, identity providers, measurement vendors, data platforms, and clean rooms.
  • Expert ability to read, interpret, and challenge API documentation and platform policies and translate them into precise product requirements, system behavior, data mappings, operational requirements, test cases, and launch criteria.
  • Working knowledge of REST and GraphQL APIs, JSON, webhooks, OAuth 2.0, API keys, service accounts, permissions, rate limits, pagination, versioning, error codes, asynchronous workflows, and data synchronization patterns.
  • Experience defining data models, field mappings, API contracts, integration workflows, technical acceptance criteria, edge cases, and test plans.
  • Deep experience with advertising account architecture and campaign activation, including business and manager accounts, advertiser accounts, users and roles, OAuth authorization, service accounts and system users, permissions and scopes, pages and profiles, pixels, catalogs, audiences, campaigns, budgets, billing, currencies, time zones, targeting, creatives, conversions, reporting, optimization, and lifecycle state management.
  • Understanding of programmatic buying and supply concepts such as real-time bidding, OpenRTB, auctions, bid requests, inventory quality, deals, private marketplaces, supply paths, frequency, viewability, brand safety, and publisher yield.
  • Ability to discuss system architecture and integration tradeoffs with engineers, including distributed systems, event-driven processing, queues, retries, data pipelines, observability, scalability, resilience, and failure handling.
  • Demonstrated hands-on validation using Postman or comparable API clients, Swagger or OpenAPI documentation, publisher consoles, logs, payload inspection, webhooks, data queries, and end-to-end campaign tests; this role cannot rely solely on Engineering or partner assurances to determine readiness.
  • Proven ownership of publisher incidents and escalations, including the ability to identify technical and operational risks, investigate ambiguous failures, lead root-cause analysis, coordinate partner response, and drive durable remediation.
  • Strong written communication skills with demonstrated ability to produce precise product requirements, technical specifications, decision documents, launch plans, operating procedures, and executive updates.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and managing dependencies across multiple engineering teams, external partners, and release schedules.
  • Strong business and partner judgment, including the ability to prioritize integrations and negotiate scope, certification, service expectations, escalation models, commercial dependencies, and launch commitments based on customer demand, inventory value, revenue, complexity, risk, and maintenance cost.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a highly detail-oriented, self-directed subject-matter expert; manage multiple concurrent integrations; personally close requirements and validation gaps; and maintain accountability from partner engagement through stable production operation.
  • Demonstrated experience owning walled-garden account and asset structures across multiple customers or business entities, with a clear understanding of data isolation, permissioning, credential security, access recovery, and offboarding.
  • Demonstrated experience creating operational documentation and delivering publisher-specific training to Campaign Operations, customer-facing, support, or implementation teams.
  • Demonstrated relationships with publisher product, engineering, partnerships, policy, certification, and support organizations and a record of resolving partner-dependent launch or production issues.
  • Demonstrated implementation experience with at least three major walled-garden advertising ecosystems such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, Microsoft Advertising, or TikTok, including direct responsibility for platform review, account setup, campaign execution, reporting, and production support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Additional breadth across advertising ecosystems such as Reddit, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, AppLovin, The Trade Desk, StackAdapt, retail media networks, CTV platforms, or emerging publishers.
  • Experience with publisher and programmatic standards such as OpenRTB, VAST, VMAP, Open Measurement, ads.txt, app-ads.txt, sellers.json, SupplyChain Object, and consent frameworks.
  • Experience integrating display, video, CTV, audio, native, mobile, search, social, commerce, retail media, and performance advertising inventory.
  • Experience with Postman, Swagger or OpenAPI, Charles Proxy, browser developer tools, log platforms, SQL, BI tools, or other technical validation and troubleshooting environments.
  • Working familiarity with cloud architectures, microservices, event streams, data warehouses, ETL or ELT pipelines, and large-scale reporting systems.

  • Knowledge of privacy-forward advertising, consent, data governance, platform policy compliance, data retention, and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in a high-growth or startup environment where personal initiative, speed, technical curiosity, and hands-on execution are critical to success.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE

  • A hands-on publisher-integration owner who is comfortable opening API documentation, configuring accounts and permissions, testing endpoints, reviewing payloads, investigating logs, reproducing defects, and validating campaigns rather than relying solely on summaries from others.
  • Technically credible with engineers and external platform teams, while able to translate complex integration constraints into clear business and customer implications.
  • Deeply knowledgeable about AdTech and programmatic media, with practical judgment about how publisher, DSP, SSP, and advertiser systems work together.
  • Highly accountable, exceptionally detail-oriented, and self-directed, with the discipline to manage partner commitments, credentials, account structures, requirements, dependencies, certification evidence, training, validation, and follow-through across concurrent integrations.
  • Analytical and evidence-driven, with a strong bias toward identifying root causes and building scalable solutions instead of accepting recurring manual workarounds.
  • Collaborative and direct, capable of building trust with publishers, technical partners, operators, commercial teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Comfortable challenging incomplete specifications, unrealistic timelines, weak launch criteria, and solutions that do not meet production-quality standards.
