Show job description
SpecSync, a Vantora (formerly UP.Labs) portfolio company, is hiring a Sr. Product Manager. SpecSync is building an AI-native configure-price-quote (CPQ) platform for industrial manufacturers, helping OEMs, dealers, and sales teams produce accurate, fully configured quotes in minutes instead of days or weeks.

Quoting in industrial manufacturing is still slow, manual, and dependent on engineering. Trailers, heavy equipment, and specialty vehicles come with thousands of options, complex rules, and pricing logic that lives in spreadsheets and in the heads of a few experts. Dealers wait on quotes, engineers get pulled off real work to validate configurations, and errors surface after an order is placed. SpecSync exists to change that by using AI to jumpstart quotes from customer history, guide buyers to valid configurations in real time, and give OEMs product intelligence they’ve never had before.

SpecSync has proven its product with a leading OEM and is now turning it into a platform many OEMs can configure. As a Product Manager reporting to the Head of Product, you’ll own major parts of the product from discovery through adoption and shape how the platform earns the trust of dealers, sales, engineers, and finance teams. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no direct reports, working closely with the Head of Product, engineering, design, and customers.
You’ll also have access to the Vantora ecosystem, a world-class team across product, engineering, design, analytics, marketing, legal, talent, finance, and venture capital, to help accelerate execution.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Lead discovery by talking with dealers, reps, engineers, and operations teams, mapping real quoting and order workflows, and telling recurring problems apart from one-off requests.
  • Write concise specs and build working prototypes with AI tools, so engineering can start from something concrete.
  • Define and ship AI features, including evals, quality thresholds, guardrails, and human review for pricing and configuration decisions.
  • Set success metrics, instrument the product, and use data to measure adoption, quote speed, and accuracy.
  • Partner with leadership and go-to-market on onboarding new OEMs, positioning, and launches.
  • Write clearly about decisions, tradeoffs, and progress for the team, customers, and executives.
  • Own daily execution of the roadmap across customer and engineering teams, including sprint planning and delivery.

Who You Are:
  • A product leader with strong judgment who can create structure in ambiguity and make clear calls.
  • An excellent writer who defaults to written context and can explain decisions to engineers, customers, and executives alike.
  • AI-native in how you work, constantly improving how you use AI to research, prototype, and build.
  • Technically fluent and comfortable going deep with engineers on APIs, data models, and rules logic.
  • Close to customers and energized by learning from the people who quote, engineer, and approve orders every day.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage environment where you ship, measure, and adjust quickly.

You Should Have:
  • 5+ years of product management experience shipping B2B software used by real customers.
  • 0-to-1 experience: you’ve taken at least one new product or line of business from scratch to real customer adoption, ideally at an early-stage company.
  • Daily, hands-on AI fluency. LLMs, coding agents, and AI-assisted research, prototyping, and spec writing are core to how you work today, and you can show us your workflows.
  • Experience defining and shipping AI-powered features such as copilots or other LLM features, including evals, failure modes, and trust and guardrail design.
  • Comfort querying data yourself.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with CPQ, pricing, quoting, or quote-to-cash products.
  • Background in manufacturing, industrial, or dealer-channel B2B.
  • Experience with configurable multi-tenant platforms, or products built around complex rules, catalogs, or approvals.
  • Familiarity with 3D or visual product configuration.
  • Experience as a founder, founding PM, or early product hire.

If you meet the must-haves but not every nice-to-have, we’d still like to hear from you.

Location: Remote (U.S.). Writing is our default way of sharing context and decisions.

Why Join:
  • Help modernize how some of the world’s most complex physical products are configured, priced, and sold.
  • Own major parts of a product at the moment it goes from one OEM to a multi-OEM platform.
  • High ownership on a small team: you’re trusted to make product calls and expected to explain them.
  • Work closely with top enterprises, operators, and investors through the Vantora model.
  • Join a small, high-output team at an early-stage venture with enterprise-scale potential.

About Vantora:
Vantora builds high-growth technology startups that enable faster, cleaner, and safer movement of people and goods.
