The Main Responsibilities

Roles and Responsabilities

• Aligns the value stream's work to enterprise strategy, priorities, and planning cycles

• Owns portfolio-level investment decisions, lean budgets, and funding guardrails

• Governs intake and prioritization of epics / initiatives across value streams via the Portfolio Kanban

• Manages cross-value-stream dependencies, sequencing, and trade-offs

• Partners with the Value Stream Owner and Business Owners on funding, priorities, and value cases

• Connects value-stream outcomes to enterprise OKRs and strategic objectives

• Oversees lean governance — dynamic budget adjustments, guardrails, and portfolio reporting

• Balances demand against capacity across value streams

• Champions the shift from project-by-project funding to product / value-stream funding

• Escalates portfolio-level risks, conflicts, and funding constraints to leadership

• Business vision; mission/value-stream KPIs

• Initiative briefs; business case

• PI objective value input; adoption and benefits validation

• Lean budget guardrails and investment decisions

• Cross-value-stream dependency and sequencing view

• Portfolio-level reporting and OKR alignment

• Lean governance and guardrail decisions

• Demand vs. capacity balance

• Budget/guardrail tracking; executive portfolio status
