About the Role Intermedia is looking for a Senior Java Developer with hands-on experience to contribute to the development of our IP phone configuration server. The role involves regular collaboration with Product Owners and Development and QA Leads. What you will be doing: Analyze phone configuration documentation and create integration specifications aligned with Intermedia’s Call Server requirements. Lead the implementation and validation of changes to support new and updated phone models. Investigate complex issues involving VoIP, SIP, networking, endpoint devices, and device configuration. Create and maintain technical configuration guides for Development, QA, and Support teams. Implement analytics and usage metrics, and perform profiling and performance optimization of the phone provisioning server. Develop and maintain high-quality, maintainable code following Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles. Provide technical guidance and contribute to development and testing best practices. Continuously develop technical knowledge of VoIP technologies, endpoint devices, and provisioning mechanisms. What you will bring to the role: A degree or relevant technical education in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Experience with server-side development in Java. Linux server development experience, including Nginx, Tomcat, and command-line tools. Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or Percona. Basic knowledge of VoIP, SIP, and IP networking. Basic knowledge of network programming, including sockets and TCP/UDP. Basic understanding of IP security principles, including TLS and certificate management. Experience using Wireshark or tcpdump for network analysis and troubleshooting. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of IP phones, endpoint devices, device configuration, and provisioning mechanisms is desirable. A willingness to continuously learn and develop expertise in telecommunications, endpoint provisioning, and related technologies.
