Role Overview The purpose of the role is to provide level 2 & 3 technical assistance and support for the Liquid Data application offered by Circana to their clients in the South Africa region. Job Responsibilities Assess incidents (or problems) and provide solutions for issues that cannot be managed by the level 1 support team, including coordinating with other teams when required. Perform root cause analysis, communication, and client relationship management in partnership with other teams. Implement change requests according to the change management framework and meet project deliverables. Responsible for day-to-day maintenance and health checks to ensure the stability of the applications in operation. Identify improvements as part of the BAU work to address recurring issues, close monitoring gaps, and automate/reduce manual work. Understand and achieve Service Level commitments. Ability to work after hours, including weekends and nights, when required. Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies. Continuously improve the brand image of the organisation. Requirements Must have: Minimum 5 years experience in working with web-based application infrastructure and enterprise systems Minimum 3 years experience in Production support working in a globally distributed team Experience in troubleshooting applications hosted on Unix/Linux. Experience working with UNIX shell and BASH scripts to determine causes of failures. Good experience with ITIL and ticketing workflows. Intermediate knowledge of writing SQL queries to diagnose and extract data. Intermediate experience in Linux and UNIX administration features. Ability to research solutions to various business and technical problems, evaluate alternatives and be able to present recommendations and justifications to management.
