Is this job info correct?

About Wherobots Wherobots is the AI Context Engine for the Physical World: the missing infrastructure layer for AI that needs to reason about our physical reality. Existing AI context infrastructure was built for traditional text, code and databases. The most consequential enterprise decisions involve assets in space: supply chains, climate exposure, geopolitics, infrastructure, and more. Wherobots enables teams to process satellite imagery at planetary scale, run precise spatial joins across billions of geometries, deploy computer vision models on Earth data, and enable AI agents with persistent memory of everything their organization has ever built within the physical world. Built by the original creators of Apache Sedona (68M+ downloads), using the SQL and Python teams already know. Pre-Sales Responsibilities Partner with sales and marketing teams to identify key business challenges across verticals and design compelling, scalable geospatial data solutions leveraging the Wherobots platform. Own technical discovery sessions to deeply understand customer workflows, data infrastructure, and AI/analytics needs—translating those into actionable architectures and demonstrations. Design and present high-quality architecture diagrams, integration flows, and solution blueprints tailored to customer requirements. Deliver impactful product demonstrations, tailored proof-of-concepts, and performance benchmarks to showcase the value and differentiation of Wherobots in customer environments. Create and maintain reusable field enablement assets, including reference architectures, decision matrices, implementation guides, and best practice playbooks. Act as a technical thought partner in strategic account planning, opportunity qualification, and deal structuring, aligned with value-based outcomes. Engage with industry-specific data, toolchains, and partner technologies to integrate Wherobots into complex enterprise ecosystems (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Google Earth Engine). Post-Sales Responsibilities Lead architectural onboarding sessions with new customers, ensuring long-term success and a seamless transition from sales to production. Collaborate with customer engineering and analytics teams to design optimal data pipelines, model inference workflows, and scalable storage/query strategies on Wherobots. Support customers in deploying best practices for geospatial data lifecycle management (ingestion, enrichment, inference, visualization, governance). Troubleshoot advanced technical issues, serving as an escalation point and collaborating with product and support engineering teams for resolution. Collect customer feedback to inform roadmap prioritization and influence the evolution of Wherobots platform capabilities and APIs. Architecture and Solution Design Deliverables Develop technical collateral for internal and external use, including: Solution architecture templates Integration patterns and connector documentation Cloud deployment diagrams (e.g., VPC reference architectures, security/compliance overlays) Maintain a library of industry-specific use cases and workload examples (e.g., mobility data pipelines, satellite image inference, retail site selection, disaster response). Public-Facing Content & Community Engagement Author high-quality, shareable technical content, including: Jupyter notebooks demonstrating geospatial workflows, ML inference, and spatial joins at scale Blog posts showcasing innovative use cases, performance gains, and technical how-tos Co-branded customer success stories and solution spotlight pages for the Wherobots website Contribute to technical documentation, tutorials, and GitHub repos used by open-source and enterprise users of Apache Sedona and Wherobots. Represent Wherobots at technical events, webinars, and meetups—serving as a credible evangelist of our platform to developers, data scientists, and enterprise architects. Engage in online communities (Apache Sedona Discord, GitHub, LinkedIn, and other forums) to support users and share expertise in spatial data engineering. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Geography related field or equivalent experience) Experience and or familiarity with spatial data and spatial data analysis Minimum 5+ years experience in a pre-sales and post-sales technical support role Strong understanding of complete data analytics stack and workflow, from ETL to data platform design to BI and analytics tools Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong skills in databases, data warehouses, and data processing Problem-solving and analytical abilities Customer-focused with a commitment to client satisfaction Fosters a collaborative and supportive team dynamic Apache Spark Lakehouse Database technology (e.g. Iceberg, Glue, PostgreSQL) Preferred Qualifications: Apache Sedona Experience and track record of success selling data and/or analytics software to enterprise customers; includes proven skills in identifying key stakeholders, winning value propositions and compelling events Data Science/AI experience across a variety of platforms and industries Extensive knowledge of and experience with large-scale database technology Familiarity and experience with downstream consumption patterns (e.g. BI tools, customer access patterns, etc.) Proven success at enterprise software start-ups Compensation and benefits Wherobots offers competitive compensation, equity, and benefits. Although we aim to establish a primary engineering presence in the San Francisco Bay Area, we provide flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, seniority, skills, and experience of the candidate.
