Job Description

Thomson Reuters is looking for a Senior Solution Consultant to lead the technical sales effort for our Legal solutions in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. You will join the Solution Consulting team, which supports sales across our Legal, Tax and Trade businesses. You will own the Legal vertical and work with the sales team on every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Legal account managers on each opportunity to understand client needs and build tailored solution proposals.
  • Deliver demonstrations of Thomson Reuters Legal solutions, in person and virtually, that address each client's specific challenges.
  • Present the value proposition clearly to executives and other stakeholders, turning technical capabilities into relevant legal use cases (a Solution Selling approach).
  • Build business cases and ROI analyses that show the value of our solutions.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in legal technology and AI. Answer client questions on legal workflows, use cases and how technology fits into a lawyer's day-to-day work.
  • Own the Legal vertical within Solution Consulting. Stay current on product releases, training and market trends, including AI and legal tech.
  • Support scoping and project-based sales, from the first conversations through to implementation and deployment.
  • Help develop the Legal Tech market in Mexico by identifying the content, features and use cases that are relevant locally.
  • Share client and market feedback with product development, marketing and global Solution Consulting teams.
  • Work with global teams, mainly in the U.S. This includes adapting English-language materials to the local market.
  • Contribute to sales strategy and to achieving the sales quota
    for your area.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in the legal field, ideally as a lawyer or in a role close to legal practice, with direct experience using technology in legal work (legal tech).
  • Proven experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, sales engineering or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Ability to run technical product demonstrations and explain the value proposition to executives and senior decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. You can explain complex technical concepts in simple terms and link them to legal use cases.
  • Knowledge of legal processes, such as contract lifecycle management and corporate matters, and how technology can improve them.
  • Commercial mindset and comfort working with a sales quota alongside the sales team.
  • Advanced English, written and spoken. This is a must-have, because you will work daily with global teams, materials and training in English.
  • Ability to work with Thomson Reuters Legal products in a consultative, solution-selling way.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with artificial intelligence applied to legal work, such as generative AI tools for legal professionals.
  • Project management or project-based sales experience, including scoping, implementation and deployment.
  • A results-driven, proactive mindset and the initiative to build and grow a new area of the business.
  • Experience in the legal tech market, or with technology solutions for law firms or corporate legal departments.
  • Experience in the legal, tax or media industries.
  • Familiarity with web-based technology and remote demonstration tools.
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters products or an understanding of its Legal portfolio.
